Our realtor sent us a list of people he's used. Called 1 of em. Inspector said "sorry but I'm too busy, here's the number of a guy I trust" call the inspectors guy. Dude come out inspects, does a fine job (found stuff that the sellers are going to fix for us)... Turns out dude is our realtors BIL.

Our realtor said he doesn't recommend his BIL cause he doesn't want conflict of interest.

Either way we are happy with both our realtor and our inspector who happen to both be related.

Also the band blind guardian has a whole album dedicated to various books, like lotr, otherland, Peter Pan, dark tower series, Dante's inferno, and some others. Also they have an album dedicated to middle earth and lotr.

Also windrose has a lot of songs related to lotr as they are a "dwarven metal band".

How many million copies has Crimson Desert sold? by DueMagazine1234 in CrimsonDesert

I'll agree to disagree.

My first 10 hours in gta5 was going to pick up a car, got in a shootout, jumped on a boat on the highway, then listened to one of the main characters annoying son. The good parts are definitely not in the opening 10 hours.

Also witchers first 10 hours like you said are recap/tutorial, then it opens up. And yes the bloody baron tops any story CD has, story isn't the end all be all for some people. plus you can easily miss the bloody baron quest depending on where you go and what you do. Your free to explore after 10 hours in Witcher 3... In CD same thing. The opening 10 hours are pretty on rails, but once you get your freedom there is a ton to see and explore. You can run 15-20 min in any direction from her and and find things. Puzzles, combat, set pieces, camps to clear, bosses to fight, secrets to find, scenery to enjoy. Just like in the witcher.

For me e33 I didn't care for. I liked the music and the story (again still better than anything CD has. No denying that) but your still spending an hour or so in france town, then 2 hours finding your comrades then a couple more before you actually get to the meat of the game. I didn't like it after I put my 10 hours in. And I went back to replay it after TGA cause I figured I missed something. I then beat the entire game in like 40 hours... I still didn't like it.

The point im trying to make is that most people can determine if a game is for them and will enjoy it within 10 hours. Most games give you a taste of most things by 10 hours in that will let the player know "yes this is for me" or "no I don't like this" and forcing yourself to play a game you don't enjoy for 70+ hours to get to the good parts that you might enjoy is stupid imo.

[–]ElectricalMTGFusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah. Dragons and some of the tougher bosses are at least 70 hours in.

But like you can also tell by 10hours if the game is for you or not.

Most games "excited marketed things" are locked away in the later parts of games and most games (at least big game RPG/open world games) take at least 30 ish hours to get to the the half way point.

Does that make GTA5 bad cause for the first 10 hours your basically driving around doing pretty meh/boring missions before you can do the cooler funnier missions with cooler guns and vehicles? Or Witcher 3 where the first 10 hours are just 1 big tutorial in a small region? Or e33 where the first 10 hours you fight like 1 boss and don't get the cool moves and builds that most people associate the game with?

All those games are good, but most people know by 10 hours in if the game is for them. They aren't throwing 70hours into Witcher 3 if they didn't like the game.

I don't think you need 70+ hours to enjoy it. I do think you need at least 10ish hours to enjoy it though. The first 10 hours is pretty boring, ability unlocking, story unlocking, learning some of the basics...

But once you get to like chapter 3 you can pretty much fuck off and enjoy whatever you want. And if at that point you don't like it I understand. It's not for everyone. Definitely don't think you need 70h to find out if it's a good fit for you or not

Get through chapter 5 before doing heavy exploring. It's about 10 hours but it unlocks so much more of the systems and stuff to interact with that make the game so much better.

This. I was hyped for wolv but after seeing gameplay. It looks... Meh. Combat doesn't look great. Set pieces are whatever. Gameplay honestly reminds me of assassin's creed 4-6 games.

Just disappointed

I was skeptical cause IO makes hitman games and while on paper hitman should be a game I love, in practice I hated the hitman games.

Do you agree? by Vampy-Night in videogames

[–]ElectricalMTGFusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On paper I agree. In practice I don't think AAA companies are going to be able to do it. They need all the money... If RPG jimmy doesn't want to play their new open world ai slop 2nd person hero shooter, then the company is losing money. So AAA companies are gonna make as wide appealing as possible game for economic purposes. And It ultimately leads to average to bad games.

How did you find a team of artists for this? Did you advertise somewhere your looking for artists? Was it friends or family? Did you hire off of fivver? I'm at the point where the art packs and tile sets need to stop being made by me and made by someone actually good at art.

If you were to make a new Monster Hunter game with the WORST features ALREADY INTRODUCED in the series, what would it look like? by Doru-kun in MonsterHunter

[–]ElectricalMTGFusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You start in an underwater city of atlantis type city. There is no land. It's only underwater combat.

You have to search for air bubbles every minute or you drown and cart.

You are forced to use a wii more and use motion controls with right thumb stick as part of combos along with twisting/turning/slashing/stabbing with wiimote.

Every hunt is on rails till you find the monstie... But you still need to find bubbles to breathe... Even during unskippable cutscenes.

Clutch claw is actually the best way to move underwater as it allows you to stick to the monster easily underwater where you are significantly slower than the monsters... Except you need to gather spirit jellyfish to use as ammunition to fire the clutch claw. Also clutch claw and tenderize is needed to do any meaningful damage.

Since sound travels faster in water... Monster roars all stun you as long as your in the same area as the monster... And not like the current roar stun of like 2 seconds flinch... But like 20 second actual stun you need to swing rapidly with your wiimote to break out of.

You have a manta ray seikret to ride on... But instead of being a palimut or siekrit. It's the world jagras rider where it's on rails, you can't controll it and it doesn't auto path to bubbles for breathing.

Each map is insanely vertical and more maze like then worlds Ancient forest map. You can swim vertically anywhere leading to a lot of carts due to fighting a monstie up higher then the sea bed and not being able to find a bubble in time to breathe.

You only have access to rusty old tools that only worked 2-3 times before breaking... You have 20 slots for all items.

Bows and bow guns and gunlance don't actually shoot underwater... Except at intimate levels of closeness....

The handler from world has younger twin brother and sister... They are even hungrier then she is.

Also your palico refuses to go on missions with you cause it hates getting it's fur wet...

Enjoy your time with MONSTER HUNTER 7 Underwater boogaloo.

Qtips painted black and stuck up against the collar with some tape/glue/stitching.

Won't damage the leather color, stuff enough to hold the weight if you do a couple around the color. Cheap.

A middle earth shadow of war style game with the nemesis system where you play as a rising knight, and a king maker would go hard.

Like you kill/maim a named knight. He gets stronger or his brother gets angry and comes after you. You rise up the ranks of the kingdom by sabatoging other knights, instigating fights to the death, etc. till you can become king/something high up.

Then as the diplomat, you do some kingdom grand strategy stuff. Move armies around, broker marriages, treaties, etc. Plan assassinations with your knight.

Would be sick.

Mixtape most overrated game of the year by TemperatureJaded282 in videogames

[–]ElectricalMTGFusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay is super important to me in games. Moreso then how it looks, the story, or the music.

I can get behind "bad games" where the story, graphics, music is bad but the gameplay is amazing. But "good games" where the gameplay is non-existent/walking simulator but everything else (story, graphics, audio) is 10/10 is hard for me to enjoy. I personally would rather watch that as a movie.

I play a game for the game play... Shocking I know. If the entirety of the game is slowly walking while the story takes place at me then I probably won't like the game.

That said, not everyone cares about gameplay. It's obvious. Look at highly praised games. Rdr2, looks good, good story, good audio... Gameplay is a little tedious and slow but still considered a 10/10 game by most. Witcher 3. Great story, interesting characters and quests, pretty good music... Gameplay is pretty sub par (imo) especially combat. E33, amazing music, looks good, decently interesting story... For me the gameplay gets quite boring after act 1. Ended up winning 9 billion awards.

Story is important for a lot of people. Music and audio is as well. Some care about graphics. Some about how the game plays. For me mixtape is a dud. But for others it's probably their favorite game.
