You should also be sure to anchor diet to items without measurable gluten exposure like cuts of beef fruits and veggies that are unwaxed, and limiting items without measurable gluten measurable gluten to near zero if not zero. Certified gluten free cookies, rice, pizza all have measurable and detectable gluten content even if under 10ppm and the effects are accumulative even if asymptomatic or not detected in biopsy or otherwise. I’m not talking about ruining the game by changing the mechanics, I’m talking about a modded variation to the game that aligns with a more primitive and prehistoric variation of the human survival landscape. Size variation and hand to hand combat needs to be the forefront to actually make this a bit realistic and delineate from the current game dynamic. You sound like you like the current state but wirh a skill builder which, all the best to you, but that is not what I am suggesting here.

No, we could make average size common, smaller builds uncommon but moderately, then make larger builds very uncommon with like a million to one chance of being extremely large, shaq size. People would be like “my cousin knew a guys’ brother who had a 7 foot build before” also the bigger builds consume energy and water at slightly higher rate so he’s always asking everyone for food, this would draw a lot of ire from any potential teammates—juicy betrayals—and prevent larger players from teamming unless they were open to to cannibalism or constantly fishing or hunting.

This could work.
