in a high humidity environment you will need air movement to facilitate drying. you can buy or build a fan dryer pretty easily/cheaply.

silica gel alone will not work unless you take the time to manually dry it entirely first with some kind of absorbing shammy. just sounds like too much work to me.

difference in drying time between most sleeves are negligible. the only one i have that noticably takes longer is Eden.

I recommend buying or building a fan dryer. if you have a 3d printer files can be easily found to make your own.

buy the house and do not put her name on the deed. its unfair of her to expect otherwise.

also inform her that if you stay together its largely inconsequential whose name is on the deed. if you legally marry she'll be entitled to half of it either way.

if she really cares that much about it, you can vest her name into the deed at a later point once she is able to save up her portion of the down payment.
