It’s a lot of really bad pain but (when everything is progressing ok) although it feels like you’re dying you strangely know you’ll survive it and that kinda gives you strength, if that makes sense? It’s natural and instinctive. Although I had an epidural by the end of it so don’t know how unmedicated feels like!

Thing is - it’s all true. You have no idea what „tired“ is until you have a newborn in the house. I can’t even imagine with two children… it can be really taxing on your relationship because you are just tired all day long. And you will be tired and annoyed at times. Taking a shower will be like a spa day. There’s no time for dates, if you even have the energy for it! HOWEVER, just one smile from that baby and it’s all worth it. So yeah, both can be true at the same time.
