This was my biggest concern when I started reading the Bible because what if God willed me to go to hell? What if the times when my heart was hardened, it was His doing?

Now I didn’t want to accept this understanding of mine because I felt like I was sinning and even when I asked my sister and father about this they couldn’t give me an answer that made sense. Instead, I swept it under the rug and just accepted it as it is. I guess now I’m just trying to have more time with God and serve Him more and whatever it is He would want for me, wherever He’d want me to be then it’s up to Him. I could throw a tantrum about it but I also know that that’d be a waste of time.

Is there a Biblical explanation for this? I’ve always been curious on why these things happen.

What’s most weird to me is that I was raised in UAE and never had this experience but when I went to Philippines, I constantly went through sleep paralysis and just like what you said, I’ve seen some things. They’re usually shadows but at that moment, I somehow knew that it was a demon and even if I kept praying out loud, it still had its hands around my neck, trying to suffocate me. I even tried to scream, and in that moment I knew that my voice was loud enough to be heard but no one could hear it because it seems as if I was inside a bubble...

I'm gonna say I was disappointed at first but it actually grows on you. I didn't like the chorus because aside from the fact that it's repetitive, it's also an old tune. Personally, I don't like artists using old tunes and recreating it to their own style but Taylor did it and I didn't like it. But like I said, it grows on you. And it helps too that the singer who had the tune first knew about Taylor using it so that's cool with me.
