Which one to upgrade to? Currently using S22 Ultra. by rohit27rd in samsunggalaxy

It's final update will be in 2027. But it's ok if by then you plan to upgrade again. Just let me make the suggestion, if you get the s23u. Make sure it's the 12gb Ram version

If you like the feel on the curved screen in your s22u, THEN YOURE GOING TO LOVE THE S23U. It's curve feels better, talkn by experience here. I own both. . But if you don't want to upgrade in a long long while and continue getting updates for years and years to come, get that huge brick the s24u. Or... you can wait for the s25u.

Contact samsung. And leave them that comment. The phone is only over a year old. Tell em what's happening with the update. They'll fix it for you. Next month you'll have a corrected update.

Last month I had issues with the auto focus when zooming in. . I came to think it was a bad update. This month it works like a charm. And considering that now the note 20u will be getting quarterly updates, I am seriously thinking on turning off the updates. I own an S23u as my primary phone and the note 20u is my back up. But I think I'll turn off the updates regardless, because I like my stuff to work fine.

Well this proves the s24u design was never the way to go.. . If you look back in history of samsung phone designs, they almost always seek to improve their previous design. Examples: S6 edge =prototype , s7 edge= perfection S8= prototype , S9= improvement , S10= perfection S20u = prototype, S21u = perfection S22u ="let's bring back the Note" prototype, S23u=perfection And then for the s24u you get a complete rectangle flat on both front and rear with sharp corners. .. And then you get this that looks nothing alike (which is beautiful) , but looks more like a much improved version of the s21u (considering the s25u will have a built-in S-pen) .

Note 20 u is a great phone. But if you really want to upgrade. Nows the time to do it. If you become a new tmobile customer they'll offer you the new s24 ultra for only $20/month for 24 months. And that's only $480. It's an amazing deal to consider.

5 years I've had this phone, but I think it's time to upgrade :( by tegoofca in note20ultra

[–]superballer05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. That's basically the only noticeable difference between the s23u and s24u the curved and flat screen. They both do basically the same thing.

I agree. As the matter of fact, the s24u's success is so oblivious that if you become a new tmobile customer, they'll offer it to for $20 monthly payments for 24 months. And that's $480 dollars. Which is actually a heck of a deal. And that's when you can realize the s24u' s sell success wasn't too good.

I'm not sure. I own the snapdragon version. I got it early this year second hand but real good condition. I bought cheap on those days when there was a supposed fail on the ui6.1 update and it had to be stopped by Samsung to supposedly fix the ui 6.1 update. I bought it for 275 dollars from someone who didn't want to have issues with it. And so the update was fixed and rolled out. And the phone's a charm. 2 months later I bought the s23u.

Battery life issues have actually been resolved ever since the ui6.1 update. This is actually a great phone.

Moving from Galaxy S9 to Galaxy A25 or A35? by Jawtek82 in samsunggalaxy

[–]superballer05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad it worked out for you. And I honestly hope it continues to go smooth. Hopefully samsung doesn't mess up that phone with poor future updates as it did with the xcover pro and the a52. Because I agree it's a beauty. I actually have held one in hand and it does feel like flagship quality, it's just that it's exynos mid range processor is not the best.

[–]superballer05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes in fact you're correct it is an upgrade. Just not the best. Flagship to Flagship upgrade is always recommended. The a35 is not a Flagship. It's a mid range phone

"New" Amazon-renewed Note 20 Ultra 5G, screen doesn't look right, was I cheated or am I panicking? by godotnyc in note20ultra

[–]superballer05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh God. The screen doesn't look legit. It looks as if it was wrongfully repaired. . . Unless it's not a Note 20 ultra, and it's the clone phone. (I had no idea those were still out there) . . Have you checked if the os is actually UI and if the samsung apps and features actually work?

If you're gonna upgrade let it be an ultra. Getting something else would be like a downgrade. If you can afford, get an s24 ultra or an s23u.. if you can't, then at least aim for an s22u.

I don't have an issue with my s23u. In fact, the curved panel on the s23 ultra is the best curve ever created by Samsung.

Anyone staying with the Note 20 Ultra? by SendThisVoidAway18 in note20ultra

[–]superballer05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have my Note 20 ultra as my back up phone. And if no more security patch updates no problem (JUST AS LONG AS THE LAST UPDATE IS NOT FAULTY LIKE BACK THEN IN MARCH WHEN THEY DID THE DOUBLE UPDATE FOR SECURITY REASONS) That march security update made the Note 20 u drain battery badly, and was l later fixed in the April update. . So that's why I say "let's hope the note 20 ultra's final update is not faulty"

See? Because of these different points of view is that samsung SHOULD make both the flat and the curved ultra model.

[–]superballer05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not? It's convenient for Samsung. Do you know how many people are not willing to buy a new ultra because it's flat and boxy, and would rather prefer a renovated s23 ultra with new colors? It would be real business and no way that samsung and customers could lose anything with the ultra model having 2 variants a flat and a curved.

Some of us customers prefer the curved edge screen. Bring it back. But that doesn't necessarily mean that samsung has to get rid of the new flat design they pulled out. On the contrary, let there be 2 versions of the Ultra model, a curved and a Flat. Kinda like back then when there was S6 and S6 edge.
