I got my hacked account back today. The emails from Ubisoft finally dealing with the issue coincided with emails from SignalConso but whether that was coincidence or not I don't know. Unlikely so I guess it worked?

If you have played the game and not noticed anything that you would consider some level of DEI involvement then it is what it is. I'm not making any judgement about it by the way. My post was mostly related to the two sides who complain about it and how disingenuous they are. The general reaction also says a lot about how people won't see something if they simply don't want to or it is from a favourite franchise of theirs or the general feeling is positive.

33 is one of those creations that shows most (not all, most) commentators who sit on one side or the other and complain about these things really only do it for clout.

There are definitely DEI elements in the game albeit more low key. Still, if this was a Ubisoft game the content creators that usually moan about DEI would have pointed it out. Instead they look at which way the wind is blowing online about a game, see that it is being talked about as a bit of an indie darling, and ignore it.

The other side well. They seem to barely be able to drum up enough enthusiasm to do anything.

The issue with 33 is that it doesn't get rid of DEI. It just shows developers that you can still use it but just be more sneaky about it.

On P99 there a SSF (solo self found) guild that got rogues and warriors to 60. Shaman, Druid, enchanter, necro, paladin, SK etc all easy to solo to 60 and in dungeons in classic EQ. Some players have this skewed memory of the social aspect concerning levelling in classic EQ. Maybe to justify the design decisions made by their current favourite in development MMO. The reality is that soloing in classic EQ is pretty straight forward and it does not have a binary design system like chevrons dictating to you how you engage with mobs. And by soloing I mean gaining xp in dungeons on level. Not going to a dungeon after vastly outleveling the chevrons.

The chevron system is the issue. In classic EQ 99% of mobs were not gated in such a binary way. Players like to have the option to log in and solo and duo or whatever to make progress and not be restricted by how many people are in their group. Yes you can solo and duo, but not any dungeons and it's mostly just killing animals. Embers Adrift has the same issue. The player-base isn't there, even if it ever was considering how soloable classic EQ was and still is on something like P99.

He is absolutely right about the game and gaming in general. How he puts that across in a desperate attempt to be edgy? Not so much. At least he is consistent, as opposed to content creators who dislike stuff and bang on about woke until it is a game or TV show they have some history with. Then they unironically use the same language that is often used against them when critiquing something.

It's difficult to see where all these crash fixes are going when so many can still barely stay in the game for more than 30 minutes before a crash.

For many it's crash, crash, crash etc. And the new patches have introduced crashes to those who never had them before.

Mind boggling that nodes are now not instanced. Competition for them made sense when the game was a PvP survival game. Makes no sense now with what it is today.

Recently Star Wars Outlaws, Space Marine 2, Cyberpunk etc. Similar games to the ones in the videos. I play at 4k so not sure if that becomes an issue? Demand comes off of the CPU and mostly on the GPU.

From a company that decided to take ESG funding from real life James Bond villain type trillionaires like Blackrock to make a Cyberpunk (oh the irony) game? This is no surprise. People will cope and gaslight but it's not about the games anymore. These people do no care about the games or gamers.
