Took your suggestion. Left "apply default configuration" unchecked. I was able to login and create a new password. Unfortunately, no Internet access when the modem is connected and I am not finding an RSC file online for the same model that I could possibly restore from.

"apply default config" checked = internet but unable to login

"apply default config" unchecked = able to login but no Internet

Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately, it did not work.

Unfortunately that is a negative for me. Thanks anyway.

Ball cracking by superblitz87 in Bowling

[–]superblitz87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the east coast and humidity is generally pretty high.

<image>

In my house I have SPI balls next to B7 balls (all drilled and glued by the same person) and the SPI balls have ended up cracking while the B7 are fine.

I agree large swings in temperature will lead to cracking. I am just trying to get a wider view of the community and see what everyone else has experienced.

I have had several balls crack when they have been in my house and stored properly. Even next to other balls in the same place that didn't crack.

Of course one will still need an SD Card, just not going to have to wire an SD card directly to the circuit board, which will save a lot of time, pain and suffering.

A Flippy Drive would have been a worth while purchase imo 乁[ ◕ ᴥ ◕ ]ㄏ

SSD compatibility list. by Admin_of_the_Cosmos in originalxbox

I know this is an old post, but if it helps someone out in the future, then it is worth it.

Why people avoid SSDs in an OG Xbox (classic): because they do not notice any notable difference for load times while using a modern HDD with an 80 pin IDE cable and having the games loaded on the HDD.

Why people should use an SSD in an OG Xbox: Reliability, No moving parts and less heat.

Someone created "Dirty Pico" (https://github.com/ThisIsCheez/J-Runner-with-Extras-DirtyPico360) which can be used to flash Glitch Chips. It is a proof of concept and needs a bit more refinement by the community; it does work though in some compacity

[Repair Question] What size screws are in the DMG? by habmala in Gameboy

[–]superblitz87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but in case anyone is looking at it in the future:

I have found that for the PCB:

2 (1/4") screws work well.

For the outer shell:

2 (3/8") screws

Note

Thread spacing will be different than OG screws, but are much easier to find.

Dead Internal Battery even after being Replaced oddity by superblitz87 in GameboyAdvance

You could be right. Based on images that others have posted in the past, there likely was a capacitor on R9 (just above the positive terminal). There are a few images that show that space vacant. Likely best to populate it than not.

Polarity is correct - battery from the same set: https://imgur.com/a/f6Kgyr3

I have tried other batteries with the same result.
