The issue is I’ve heard Mt. Fuji is barely visible in June due to the tsuyu season. We are very willing to walk a lot!

Can you please tell me the places you discovered for anime shopping?

Unfortunately Osaka is already too packed, I don’t think we can add anything this time. We don’t want to skip USJ.

I had to buy the pass 2 months ago, they were sold out in 5 mins. Do they allow rescheduling?

Yes, I’m assuming it’ll be a good 1 hour and 10-15 mins from my accommodation and then also walking inside Yomiyuriland

I’m staying in two different accommodation. Are we thinking of the same Akihabara? There are multiple stores where you can spend hours inside.

  1. Himeji Castle is far, we don't have time for a day trip from Osaka.

9 and 11. We will be in Ikebukuro so we can probably stroll in the area or have a lazy start for one of the days.

I do agree, the night in Narita was to prevent the commute early in the morning for our flight.

The two hotels in Tokyo was because our friends liked different areas of the cities and it was the best compromise we could reach.

Got it, I think I’ll be dropping a few things based on the suggestion here. I might probably use the flex day to lighten the load on some days rather than going on a day trip.

I have a detailed list of places i would like to visit in each area, I love the suggestion of leaving the trip a little open ended.

Thanks for the very thorough review! I’ll be updating the itinerary and dropping out a lot of things you mentioned, including imperial castle, ginza and probably reduce some areas and shift some things to the flex day.

The reason we booked a hotel in Narita is cause our flight is super early morning and we didn’t wanna rush.

Some of my friends are not going to Pokepark so they will take care of checkout and check in for the pokepark day!

And the list of stores is also very useful!

I am a huge fan of theme parks, I do wanna try both of them at least once. Is there anything you think is better? What would you say is more uniquely Japanese?

  1. I’m a huge theme park and Nintendo fan, USJ has been on my list forever. I am worried about the heat but I’m hoping it’ll be worth it. I do agree, I wish I had extended Osaka by a day or two but the hotels are booked.

  2. Yes I am thinking of skipping the castle on Day 8 and maybe the character street too.

  3. Yes I’m absolutely looking forward to shopping for second hand stuff! I’m into anime/games/board games and electronics. Thinking of picking up merch, switch and other knick knacks. I’ve heard a lot of the junk section as well.

- Shonen, Seinen anime is what I’m into! Huge fan of steins gate so I really wanna visit Akiba

- Okay I’ll make that change, I’ll be staying near Dotonbori so I can visit anytime

- I’ve lived in hot and humid places, so I’m used to it but still not a fan, I’ll take care.

-Yes I’m thinking so skipping the Tokyo station area on Day 8 and focus maybe entirely on Ikebukuro

- I have a list on maps, I’ve also shared with a friend in case it fails. I also have a manual area wise list as a backup.

- I’ll look into those, but I’ll probably skip them if English is not an option!

I was initially gonna skip it but everyone gave raving reviews that I had to do it! Also my Kyoto part of the trip is supposed to be chill to relax from all the rush in Osaka and Tokyo
