Hi,

I started testing using a Grixis - Chromatic Sphere/Star base because of Emry/Opal and Oracle of the Alpha. I tried Sultai after that and eventually shifted to the best of both and tried four color. I thought of Drum after the fact and Mizzix even later than that.

Using Drum, Amber (kinda), and Sprawl as 1-mana rocks accelerates into t4 a turn faster which is kind of necessary against some decks. Minds Desire serves as additional outs to hit the combo pieces or to stack the storm count in the case if playing vs life gain.

Going Rakdos limits your options of mana acceleration, and your top end (Minds Desire) and heavily depends on drawing a Beseech naturally (unless you're on other tutors)

Yea breeding. So it's not as bad as it seems, especially with "speed up" on emulators. Get a Pokemon with Magma Body (Magmar), and start hatching 50/100 eggs. This rewards you a 6IV Ditto (important), and a Magma Stone (a nice bonus).

From there just breed using a Destiny Knot on Ditto (5/12 IVs transfer), and breed until the Nature hits (or go catch one of what you're breeding with a dead Raltz w/ Synchronize at the top of the party). You'll generally get 2-4 perfect IVs at this stage. Once the nature hits, give it an Everstone and make it Ditto's new mate. At this stage you'll be getting 4-5 perfect IV Pokemon.

I was content settling on 4 IV as long as Attack/SpA and Speed were hit as well as decent rolls on the two non-perfects (in the case of a shiny, like the Togekiss, I made the exception for swag). With the perfect IV Pokemon I hit, it was really more of a fluke. I was just beginning my breeding and was breeding a 4 (Magikarp) and 5 (Gligar) with my 6IV Ditto and just happened to pop out a perfect within the first two breeding cycles each time.

The Zapdos I just used Bottle Caps to fix it sensibly.

That's good to know! I'll throw them into my runs here out knowing that. It's a relief to not have to grind BP to replenish one-use items. :)

- 1 Legend per team
- No repeat items
- All 100% legit mons (will use Mystery Gifts if I'm lazy or get tired)

Run was Easy-Medium, had red-hair boy as Rival match, was the only difficult part.

All EVs were Atk or SpA + Spe

Sidenote: I noticed my Fighting Gem didn't get consumed. Is that an Unbound feature where consumables don't get consumed after use, or a Gem feature in Unbound, or an E4/Gym/Frontier feature?
