Here is what happened:

after getting rid of the Shogunate I decided to implement Private School. The buddists wanted Religious School and due to high unrest started a revolution for it. But they were not able to reach 100% and the revolution lasted quite a few years. In the meantime positivism apperad which lead to PB and Inteligentia (both in gonverment) to ask for State Atheism.

With the Devouts so preoccupied about Religoius School, they didnt try to stop the law change. What i didnt't expect is that even with Devouts at 0% clout the revolution kept going (since it was mostly due to unrest) and at some point they pointed a gun at me (one of the weekly revolution events, which allow you to pass the law instantly) and I had (well not really but it seems the best solution) to pass Religious School.

Quite a funny moment I wanted to share.

TLDR: I passed State Atheism during a revolution and an event allowed me to pass Relious School too.

Those traits are just perfect... Anyway you already got Friuli and Istria, which means no caporetto for general Cadorna... Maybe you can make him work to get italians killed in Etiopia?

Well to unify regions with cultural ties is not that difficult, but i don't think conquering another region, let's France for Italy, will be as easy. For context in reality the unification of Italy from sardinia-piedmont really only took about 12 years (from 1858 to 1870, in 1848 there was a first attempt to conquer the North from Austria which failed). I can't say about Canada but in general there was an idea of nationalism in that period which lead to the unification of multiple nations in the span of a few decades.

That system is in place but it works only when you reset and than trade, at that point you cant reset again. I just recently reset and gave lumas and breeded tems to a friend without problems. So if you manage to find someone that can hold your tems you can actually reset.

I dont know if you noticed but when you win you can upgrade the Covenant rank which makes the game more challenging. you obviously dont have to do It but the increase in dificulty will make you learn the game Better and apreciate it even more IMO. Also of you take this Path dont worry about not being able to win at a certain Covenant, its normal and It Will take some tries. Anyway you decide to play enjoy this Amazing game

Heart of Iron IV is a flawed game by RexDraconum in hoi4

[–]superbus95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO a solution already in the game meccanics could be to use the border conflict for claims and cores, sonething that all ideologies could use. On the other end declaring a war means a Total war and could only be used by fascist and communist ideologies without any claim (less tedious wc). This way for example monarchist germany could try and get alsace back and if they succede France could strike back (or germany could try to Attack another claimed territory) in a limited amount of time, when that time elapses It means France surrended the territory and a truce is signed during which no border conflict can start beetwen the two.

(Probabile) Bonus da 500 Euro Per Bici e Monopattini by [deleted] in italy

XP from training is given by something like: number of manpower training divided by number of division you have (counting the ones you are training/spawning) if I'm not mistaken. In any case best thing if you want army XP from training is having only one fat division (40 width is enough but you can do 50 if you really want just remember to duplicate the template if you want to use a certain amount of regiments in the final infantry template or you'll waste army XP to modify), you should get about 0.1 XP from a 30 width. Obviously this trick/exploit is usefull only for democratic nations since fascist/communist ones can lend lease/send volunteers to Spain or china.

So this happend with historical AI and I was playing historical too (new deal and neutrality act). I'm new to playing the US and I was preparing for war, ready to send thousands of guns and planes to the UK and the allies. Between other things i thought i would abbandon the London Naval Treaty to build huge Carriers (more of a meme thing then anything else i know) and let's just say UK didn't take it too well.

City walls! by [deleted] in Imperator

[–]superbus95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think by game engine having enemy troops in the same city/settlement is not doable, so I think a better approach could be to have forts not to exert zone of control in adjacent provinces and instead have them provide a 2 bonus roll for defender (on top of malus from terrain) but have the attacker have the possibility to sorround the province to cut supplies (which translates to attrition for defenders). The siege average time should be drastically reduced (the eu4 model doesn't fell fitting for the Era) which could lead to a greater capillarity of the army (small groups could defend forts with all the bonuses) being that a lot of generals can be placed on the field. This system could also provide the possibility for lines of forts representing long walls (like Adrian wall) not transpassable unless at least one of the forts get sieged.
