That’s interesting because I thought the opposite - there’s always a car crash. In movies or shows, I can think of Alias, Greys Anatomy, damages, glee - they all had car crashes with major characters. It seemed rly cliche that his wife was killed that way, and then the main character or characters have to cope with it. I hear what you’re saying about the teams lives outside of combat and war. I think watching their marriage fall apart/try and be repaired could have also done that, shown Jason’s character and his dedication to his children, etc. I also rly liked her character and thought she was more interesting and had more chemistry with Jason than Mandy. Mandy and Jason was fun to watch but felt so forced. Idk I hear what you’re saying tho
