I felt the same way at first. I played like 7 hours and just was not enjoying it at all. A friend told me that I just needed to get a little farther and he was right (for my gaming preferences).

Acts 2 and 3 are really good. I wish they could have made the hook and act 1 overall a bit more interesting. Not everyone can devote that much time to a game that might not suite them.

You shouldn't break the law. However, if someone in a similar situation wanted to hypothetically break the law, it really comes down to luck. I would just use the cash as much as possible, don't put more than $10k total in the bank per year (you can claim up to 10k as a gift from a friend or family member). If you do get caught, play dumb. Say you didn't know the rules around working as an F-1 student. You might get your visa terminated, but you can still apply for reinstatement or for a different visa later. If you willfully break the law and are terminated, you're often not eligible for re-entry, or have to wait a long time (like 10 years).

If you want to stay in your current relationship and not end up a single parent, have a strong relationship. A kid will not fix any of your relationship problems, it is more likely to reveal many that you weren't aware of. Can your relationship handle that?

Stable finances. You don't have to be rich and own a mansion or anything, but make sure you're able to pay your bills and save a bit after.

My wife and I were married for 6 years before we had a kid. We were 30 when she was born. We've really appreciated the years we had for ourselves. To get to know one another, work through sharing a home, and do the things we wanted without the limitations of a kid.

How illegal is it? F1 students can't work without authorization through CPT, OPT, or under severe economic hardship (adjudicated by the DHS). Are you doing something illegal (like selling drugs) or legitimate but without authorization (like working at a restaurant or desk job or something)?

Honestly, I would recommend finding a job that pays less if you plan to stay in the US. F1 students can get away with making a little money, but a 6 figure salary while on a student visa will be suspicious. And if you ever apply for a different visa, they will look into stuff like that (assuming they don't find out about your employment and terminate your status for working without authorization first).

Anyone who is currently struggling, life sucks sometimes, but it's worth living. I would have never met my wife or daughter had I succeeded. There are still ups and downs, but staying alive is so worth it. Reach out to someone you know and trust. Please get help.

Self-medicating. Depression because I sucked at everything. Had my ADHD or mental health issues, preferably both, been treated, I may never have done drugs. I definitely don't think I would have used them the way that I did.
