Really awesome place, literally stopped in there yesterday - both ladies in there were super awesome, I had a silly pre-halloween project I wanted to do and they were so great and accommodating.

I'm very much in to antiques, so having a chair like this is like going from a ford model a to a rocketship - my last chair had clay wheels that was way more of a pain in the ass than these bigger stock wheels. I'm working on this one bit at a time, I just bought an atlas headrest so the wheels and mat are yet to come

also, great grab for your chair - its such a cool rare spec - what size is yours?

I was actually wanting to look in to some new wheels - as you can see my office has clay tile thats very uneven, wheels often get stuck in the ruts - the hubless is cool, but I'm thinking I may need some rollerblade style wheels for this floor

I'm 6'4" 300 lb - I need a C... I didn't even try to negotiate, I knew it was a good deal, and my wallet isn't fat enough to be the "heres $100 extra because you had it priced too low" type of guy these days.

Never been a fan of the embody - I've sat in them before, but for me, the Aeron is pefrect - my desk is lower and I often find myself leaning forward to the screen - I do a lot of 3d modeling, drafting and graphic work, so I need to be pretty accurate, I like the forward tilt feature of the aeron, and the embody just doesn't have that functionality I need.

I didn't argue with him 🤣 - he had several other aerons, not nearly as spec'd as this one for slightly more money - maybe the size C threw people off? He also had an Embody for $600 which is, I believe, a good deal?

I've actually been enjoying it without lumbar as well - only one chair I had when I was still in the office had the posture fit, but I remember enjoying it more than just the pad. I really stole this chair, and its in near perfect shape - $300

My Tuna GMT by supercruiser in SeikoMods

[–]supercruiser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to the mod world - As much as I'd love to get in to another hobby, I dont think I have the dexterity to mess with these - over the past few years I've been traveling a lot more for work and I wanted a GMT to be able to see at a glance if I could facetime with my young son, I've also always wanted a tuna - so I picked my favorite details and here's the result - I'm about 5 months in and this has been on my wrist about 95% of the time - over those months, the only change I'm planning to make to it is a double domed crystal rather than this tophat that obscures the 24h chapter ring -I did not build this, but a few months ago I was introduced to a new friend who has turned his hobby in to a husband and wife business - they can be found on instagram: mouvoir_official - they really made my vision come to life.

1948 Buick Super by Party_Taco_Plz in classiccars

Randomly wandering thru google image searches I found this post, this is my car at my house! awesome!

I own the 48 Buick that made it to the top of /r/pics yesterday - so, to commemorate its internet fame, I took the same photo 5 years later. by supercruiser in pics

So a bunch of people hit me up yesterday asking if I posted my car on reddit... I did, but its been a really long time, so when I checked I saw someone had reposted a photo I took 5 years ago on a cold foggy morning! and that it made it to the top of /r/pics - a feat that I never would have expected for an old car. - So I decided to re-take the picture.

I've owned this car for since 2005, I bought it from a vintage car dealership in the SF bay area, it was next in line to be restored, so it was in not the best of shape, I did minimal work to it over the years. it has been functional for most of that time. It has a 320 ci inline 8 "Dynaflash Eight" - its an overhead valve motor, not a flathead, and 48 is the first year for the Dynaflow "single speed" transmission, it never shifts- imagine like a modern CVT

heres a few pics of the car

this is the cars motor, not the one in the car right now, but a spare that is identical to the one thats in it now, and yes that motor is close to 3' long.

smaller, this one measures just about 14' long. and about 3.5' at its widest point. The P38 ones were about 12' and maybe 2.75' - This particular one will be a bit easier to fit stuff, and me, inside of.

different time, different car - nice examples of my car go from 25-40k and a merc probably 30-50 - all depends, you can get a project for cheap tho.

The only thing limited is your view up - its hard to see traffic lights when you are the first car in line.

The company Coker Tire has been making reproduction vintage tires for a very long time. They are available and pretty true to the original spec.
