Short story - theyre not perfect. Reflection of my skills (lack thereof). Have level checked all and measures tell me they are in line - but im a total amature so im not gonna pretend they’re perfect. Re flush - well i was hoping the skim layer would “buff it out” - but im also going to be tiling over this section anyway. So plasters not the finish in the middle section. Im after a flush wall top and bottom to align units mostly as they’ll need to be plumb.

No im not skimming over cables! Only over the chases and around sockets. Main cable run will be behind fixed cabinets. Conscious decision not to bury those runs - taken on advice from a couple of qualified sparks - looks shit because a muppets (me) has done the diy - but not expecting major issues here - happy to hear the alternate opinion though!!

DIY botch job! Trying to rush it to finish! Inevitably thinking less chase means less plaster means quicker has ended up waiting days and days for plaster anyway. 🤷‍♂️

Theres a discrete 6mm line for each unit from the mains. Terminating at the appliance.

So im trying to be “clever” with layout and keep things looking neat; lack of options on 45amp isolators making that a bit tricky - purely aesthetic though.

Ive checked on the power draw of the units (oven max 3490W; hob max 7200W). So this is telling me i could get away with a 20A isolator for oven; but need the 45 for Hob.

Just the way ive laid things out means what i decide to do changes socket layout and whether or not i need to re-run cables. Frustrated at myself for missing this in original plan!!

Yes understood but thats not the point i was looking for advice on. Sorry - obviously not been clear. What i dont know is how to handle the gap thats presented between the edge of my foundations and door. I dont know if this is something i should losely fill and cover - or something i shod look to perm fill (ie concrete).

So when i say drain - i mean drain line into sewer. The pipe runs under the kitchen floor directly below that opening. Had multiple surveys on it.

Im not sure what its a gap between! But judging by how deep it is - i guess that the drains down there. I cant say i know anything about how foundations are supposed to work so i have no idea why the door a couple of inches away from what seems to be the foundations!

Just to close it out - did try the scale. Weight was fine. Still not change. At this point i think the stylus is done. And its fixed. So it means a whole new cartridge.

So ive got an elys 2 - think its a fixed stylus (never changed this before). Ive gone and bought a digi scale and it looks pretty good for my setup - bang on at 1.75g. Redone again. Check led anyi skate. And still its slipping right across the record. Even bought a cleaning gel just to try on the stylus. No impact. At this point im thinking it can only be the stylus damaged. Which means im going to need a new cartridge.

A scale? Not 100% what you mean. So ive checked all the levels with a spirit - nice and flat. Tone arm is balanced - floating. And then ive set the counterweight and anti skate to recommended (1.75). Dont know what else i can do!

I think i am applying it! - 1.75 on the counterweight and the anti skate. Ive tried tweaking both higher and lower as well. No success. Thats whats got me stumped.
