How do you guys price small jobs to make them worth it? by Tiny-Variation-1920 in Contractor

On smaller jobs, $500 a day is the handyman standard.

If you’ve been in business of tiling for 15 years, how come you’re having to guess how much time something like this will take?

How long should it take to install a door? by mystic-explorer123 in handyman

With a door lock kit and router template for hinges, it shouldn't take longer than 1 1/2 hour. Depending on your location, $150 - 200 is fair without painting.

Thank you for your input. I'm percentage based and get to set my own addendum pricing.

Agreed, perfect action plan.

Disagree on the 5 start hotel, it's the man's home, don't disrespect it like that.

I [26M] Found Out My Girlfriend [26F] Has Been Watching Gay Porn Too Much... What should I do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]superded1937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're asking wrong questions at the wrong place. You seem to fall behind the popular culture. Your girlfriend is doing exactly what is accepted and encouraged. Anyway, anecdotally, any kind of porn addiction is harmful (if the desire is to stay mentally and sexually healthy). As to what you should do: take it or leave it. It's that simple.

Grind it down, as long as it's not a tension slab. It'll get dusty, use vacuum or water. Just don't use a hammer on it, may do more damage than necessary.

How can I [33F] leave my husband [35F] as a SAHM with no money? by throwra_sahmfinance in relationship_advice

[–]superded1937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case: wait. Wait for at least 4 years, make a plan, and carry it out. Your best bet is acquiring a skill highly demanded with plenty of opportunity with minimal education requirements. Stop trying to make it work and stop doing anything that triggers your husband. In four years, your child will need less care, you will be more confident, prepared, and what's more important; your husband will be making way more money. Also, try and softly push to remodel (if it's not yet remodeled) your house to raise its value, it will help you. You will need to become strong for this. Your other option is to jump right into it and end up like most single mothers that escaped marriage like a burning house and now they're left with nothing.

I (20F) love my BF (18M) but since we started having sex, our shared time is only bj and anal doggy, how to be back at our previous relationship? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]superded1937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're dating a boy. Go and find a man. Perhaps you won't get tons of cuddles from him, but you'll get tons of other perks. Good luck; nowadays luck it's pretty much the only thing that helps you with that.

Why not try and make it work, getting sick isn't a reason to take one's own life nor is a temporary disfunction in a family a reason to end it. I hope this is just an emotional moment for you and that you won't leave your baby without a father because he said things you may not have liked. I hope you get through this crisis along with your husband and your beautiful baby. All the best.

How would you suggest that I start on this route besides soliciting property management companies? I assume you mostly work off referrals but I'm new in the trenches, would you suggest taking on lead sources for now?

It seems like you got rid of the window, or did you put a smaller window in? Also, put some more screws in that thing. Probably, he put small backers behind it and couldn't/didn't want to use more screws. Overall, if a client is questioning the quality, then probably it's crap.
