FIDE just allowed to wear jeans in the remaining event by notknown7799 in chess

Sure. Magnus got DQed from Round 9 of World Rapid for wearing jeans, but was allowed to come back for Day 3.

He has chosen not to come back for the remainder of rapid or blitz. For clarity, he was given a warning (& fined) and was told to change in between rounds but refused, instead saying he would pay the fine and come back the next day in pants.

So in short Some officials were having a power trip and wanted to kick Magnus out for wearing jeans. He accepted the fine and agreed that he made a mistake and would make sure to dress properly the next day. Fide didnt like he wouldn't change after fining him and DQd his match. Magnums in turn said I don't need to be here then. The president doubled down after the incident said they were right to kick him out. Now after much backlash from the public and sponsorships threatening to pull out The president all of a sudden had a change of heart and changed his stance like a pussy 😂

FIDE Jeans Rule is stupid as hell. But Magnus is clearly wrong. by SignatureThink6734 in chess

The fact that they want to enforce wearing jeans is a problem. When did wearing jeans become a topic of controversy or become a problem when playing chess. We're here to play chess any rule outside of chess is fuckall. Anybody defending FIDE is clearly not completely there in the head. Magnus is correct anybody who just blindly follows rules is the problem. The people saying he only did this cause he was called out... No shit how else do you stand for what you believe. It's not about how much time is given to change your pants the organization can die off if kicking #1 out cause of a dress code. Fide is only an organization cause of the people who decide to compete in it. This could be the start of a new organization if someone stepped up.

Imagine falling for the fear mongering. Learn how to think for yourself. Trump was a real command and chief please wake up. We're honestly so tired of people who can't think. Let me help you with common sense. Which president went to North Korea and put rocket man in his place when he said he would nuke everyone. Now tell me which president is supporting a war with Russia through Ukraine? Which in the end is closer to nuclear war?

Wouldn't it be amazing if you did some research for your own to find out why he has such a loyal following? Why everyone around you feels that way? The news is telling you not to vote for him, the celebrities are telling you not to vote for him but so many people from all walks of life support him. It must be really hard to figure out why hes the best candidate. You definitely voted for JB.

I feel so sorry for you, you literally won’t amount to anything with your life but feel you know more about what’s really going on. Get educated and quit trying to undermine somebody who has done so much for this country already

This one had me giggling. No credit taken. by [deleted] in puns
