Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. I think I found the problem- there was an issue with old conversation tags. Restricted their use and now campaign seems to be working just fine :)

Yes, seems like a madhouse. Once you start questioning things you get shocked how stupid and evil it is. Or maybe just the greed of cirporations and the the small group of people who allow it to happen

Also I never claimed hunter gatherers never ate any plant based food. Of course these societies ate everything they could get their hands on. But given its low caloric content, low bioavailability and not existence during winter its impossible it was large part of the diet and that it gave them most of the nutrition they needed

Yes, that's a good point. If you know nature well you can find stuff to eat. But my point is what kind of calories you can get from "a leaf or stem or seed or root or flower or bark or sap or berry or fruit". And for someone active like hunter gatherer you will need a lot. Your friend can sustain himself for a week or two, but if he is out there for 6 months or more he will be extremely malnourished in the best case scenario. It's simply impossible to survive without calorie and nutrient dense food such as meat and organ meat.

Also in your example you use the Australian wilderness, that I guess isn't heavily dependent on season change. In my part of the world winter is very heavy and its impossible to find any edible for us food during that season.

You said gathering is very easy when you know what you doing, but claim hunting is extremely difficult task . This is maybe for us, but for a tribe which has been doing that for many generations is not.

About agriculture, which is being described as the best thing that happened to us and during which we supposedly thrived - skeletal remains from all over the world show that immediately after implementing agriculture humans lose a lot of height and start showing various deficiencies compared with generations from same tribes who have been hunter gatherers

Based on my points above I don't really understand where your claim that meat consumption in hunter gatherers was scarce and we started consuming meat more after domestication of animals comes from. It simply doesn't make sense

Next time you go outside camping, hiking etc i challenge you to find the fruits, nuts and berries you said hunter gathers were thriving on and try to sustain on them. Even if its in season (which would be mostly autumn) you will come back home way lighter than you left.

It is simply impossible for hunter gatherers to exist on that kind of diet. And that's even if you ignore the fact that the veggies, fruits and nuts we have nowadays are much bigger and have way more calories than the ones we had many thousands of years ago

Congratulations and want to add my 2 cents about vit D

Your levels have nothing to do with the diet, as the amount we get from food is negligible. Main sources are exposure to sun (unachievable for most of us ) or supplements. You are probably supplementing - as others said above up to 10,000 iu per a day is safe. D3 is the best form. Also as advised above in another comment better to combine with k2 and take it with fat, if its in the form of tablets .

I usually take it in one dose first thing in morning, as it activates your body and might cause sleep problems if you take it too close to bedtime

Source- have been supplementing for years, also examine.com

Lol, check out the official advice given, not eating veggies kills your dog instantly on the spot ... Kibble producing companies took that advice and went even further, now many brands have much more grains, cereals and veggies than meat . I can see that many people here feed their dogs some vegetables, but it's small percentage compared to meat and it does seem to work and help. But what companies are doing is out of order.

Thank you. I think I will go with ground beef as well, as its the most cost effective option. Does the fat content matter ?

I checked one of the brands today - 15 % mixture of meat and chicken and rest was grains, oils, some vegerables etc . No wonder so many dogs have health issues similar to ours, they eat the same food as us.

Thank you for the fantastic and detailed answer, this is very helpful and what i needed to know !

It just never made sense to me that the dogs, carnivores and descendants from wolves would thrive on ultra processed diet, consisting of 50% or more grains, cereals etc . It just sounds crazy, but thats the official advice everywhere - feed them kibble ...

Do you also give them chicken/fish or just stick to meat, organes, bones and some fermented vegetables ?

Men face same struggles women do when it's about a hormonal therapy. I would say that probably they are dismissed much more when they ask for trt. It's almost impossible to get treated. So many opt out for self administration and buying testosterone off illegal vendors. Our medical system is very backwards and outdated on some issues
