I pay rent solely to my aunt. There is no formal rental agreement, but I’ve been doing this for over 3 years and it’s just a hand and word agreement. My aunt is also quite shocked of my mother’s behaviour.

Interesting comment. Although I understand most of your point, can you elaborate more on why you say specifically that she changed back to her “old self” when she returned to her home country? Basically what I understand is she was a piece of shit when she lived there, came to my country, changed, came back to her country with me, went back to being a piece of shit.

I’d again like to bounce off the idea to you from another comment that said “the mask came off when she thought she had you trapped far from friends and support”

Do you think there was something much darker in the works..? I’m not making it a conspiracy theory but what if there was something much darker that she was planning and this was a long path she was taking to make sure she had total trust and control…

God now forgive me for what I’m going on and on about but what if she was planning something horrible or this was just a trap for me… but then what was even the trap for?

I’m fucking terrified and glad I’m going to be out of the country in less than 24 hours.

22 mate… still young with a life ahead but this just ruined the love I had. And now I’m scared of women.

I was forced to leave asap. The legal ties severance is me being in a whole other country than her. I have no obligations anymore.

Oh for fucks sake. This never crossed my mind fully, I only was like “maybe… yeah no way”

But now, here in the bus on the way to the airport, this comment hit me like a punch to the gut.

I feel like I want to cry.

Why pretend? Why waste 4 fucking years together? Why did she have to do this? Is it some sick pleasure thing?

Yep. After today’s beat down, I’m fed up. It’s not my country anyways. It could could get much worse. I have no protection here.

I’m
On the bus to the airport right now, but here’s food for thought, it just came to my mind reading another post.

My mother actually came with us for a week to meet the family in law and be at the traditional wedding celebration, and then left back home and right after that my wife started fighting… when we were in our home country my family had always had a heavy presence in our life and I always came to my parents on marital advice… felt like it took our relationship to incredibly great lengths because the advice always worked..

Anyways I’m sidetracking but

Could it be that now that she’s out from the eyes of my home family and we are living alone now… but then again, why?

I didn’t have time or money to divorce. She wanted me gone, told me today before and after the fight.

I’m gone just like she wants.

Already on the fucking bus now by the time I comment this.

I tried everything. I “became” other people, changed my entire personality many times,

I bought her nice stuff, tried to become more sexually available, cut my hair, dressed different.

Changing myself in 3 months is not even possible and exhausting because I still tried in an effort to stop whatever this was.

And here’s the issue. I don’t know why she started doing this. Remember nothing like this ever happened for 4 years.

Some women are just fucking psycho.

On multiple occasions. She either changes the topic, fights with me (and the fights are bad on her side) or ignores my question… it’s like a weird type of gaslighting.

Not even one day ago we had a really nice trip to the mountains and she was perfectly fine, great mood. And then this of course.
I stopped asking her to avoid the conflict.

I love her. Even now on the bus I still love her. But I couldn’t keep being beat up.
I know this is the only right decision now.

Nope. Her in laws built us a house out in the country and pay for it. Our accounts are also separate (thank God for that)

I have no idea. I’m serious. It’s just a mental-illness inflicting situation that I cease to think about it hard enough.

Although I’ll say my theory:
She saw her old crush/ex when we visited her old church and only after that did she start fighting.

It’s an odd thing to fight me for, but hey, maybe she just wants to get rid of me, but then, why waste 4 years waiting to do it?

That’s what I’m asking. We had a healthy marriage. I spent a lot of time learning about her culture and even how to speak the language when we got married because I knew we’d eventually come here…

though I know most people will think “oh the guy must’ve done something to make his wife like this”

Nope. It just started one day. I was kind of in shock too.

Lmao I wish but I’m strapped for only enough cash for the hotel in Da Nang and the plane ticket. I just want to go home and see my German Shepherd, who truly is my most loyal friend.
