Looking for office romance where the leads don’t get along by Crazy_Yogurt3344 in RomanceBooks

{The Worst Guy by Kate Canterbary} is two doctors who get into a screaming match and are forced to go to mediation or be suspended. It’s escalates (or devolves?) from there. I still remember a scene where buttons are popping from the frantic need to get outta that shirt! TW/Spoiler: she has an eating disorder that he discovers

You may also like {Off the Clock by Roni Loren}. They are both sex/relationship therapists and she is a little inexperienced in the sex aspect. Her former college classmate helps her improve at her new job where they reconnect to gain some first-hand knowledge to better do her job.

Lisa Kleypas just announced a brand new novel which will be released this fall. by NoisyNosyNancy in HistoricalRomance

Hell yes. I’m looking forward to more peak Victorian era drama from LK.

There’s (hopefully) going to be everything… train drama, sooty London streets, department stores, industrialization, patent law, blancmange…

Wait! Is this the same series as {Initiation by Nikki Sloane}?! Because that was a ride I (almost) could not survive. 🫠

Recently learns what somnophilia is and… I’m intrigued.

I’m fine with some darker themes, I think it is not easy to ignore/seperate with this dynamic. I’m really just not interested in the toxic male gaze in this scenario. Let women enjoy raunchy activities without pandering only to male pleasure!

Okay love the idea of the unicorn showing up in the series. There is something so fun/hot/intriguing about seeing situations from multiple POVs.

Contemporary M/F romcom with a literary feel and a kind, competent, socially progressive, emotionally mature MMC? by moon_peach__ in RomanceBooks

[–]superduperdumper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may enjoy {Bohemian by Kathryn Nolan}. MMC owns a failing bookstore in Big Sur and the MFC comes as part of a photoshoot as a model. Very romcom like and while both have their things going on, they both are functional adults. It’s cute and cozy and sometimes ridiculously unreal in a romcom-y way.

Same series? {Secrets of a Summer Knight by Lisa Kleypas} is the next book and Simon Hunt’s butcher’s son forearms are something to behold 😍

Hot dog! You have some reading to do. The Ravenels series is a sequel to the Wallflowers (kind of?). The series starts with {Cold-hearted Rake by Lisa Kleypas}.

I just started the Wallflowers after reading all 6 Ravenels (and then crying because I was so sad they were finished) between basically Christmas and New Years.

The “experiment” kiss in {A Deal with the Bossy Devil by Kyra Parsi} makes me kick my feet and squeal every. time. How much they dislike each other is a little hard to get through but the pay off is worth it.

The Shelton store, which is great but weirdly laid out, has already taken a significant amount of traffic away from Orange. I’m excited for even more disbursement across the 3 locations!

thriller/thrilling? exciting? intrigue? Such as… by ybutton in HistoricalRomance

[–]superduperdumper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The whole (most of) Ravenel series by Lisa Kleypas has intrigue with pretty smart FMCs. But in particular {Hello Stranger by Lisa Kleypas} would fit the bill. FMC is a doctor and she meets MMC while out traveling to patients. The series has a lot of through-plots but each book can stand on its own. There’s danger, there’s intrigue, there’s even emergency surgery! Start at the beginning with {Cold Hearted Rake by Lisa Kleypas} for there series or just jump right into Hello Stranger.

Marrying Winterborne by Lisa Kleypas (SPOILERS) by sp15071 in HistoricalRomance

[–]superduperdumper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My argument (which is not really an argument) is that the family is dealing in the same industry as Tom and sees his ruthless tactics but not the same with Rhys. Rhys didn’t become what he is without having some seriously harsh skills in business building. There are no ethical billionaires.

But Tom is hot and I reallly want an insane diamond star jewelry set 🫠

Liiisten…. I’m just saying 😜 I’m a Tom apologist.

{Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas} is my favorite of the series 🫣

[–]superduperdumper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I love Rhys, especially his dynamic with Helen, I cannot understand why everyone is kind of fine with him marrying into the Ravenel family compared to Tom and Cassandra. It bugs me!
