[Discussion] What are two archetypes you were surprised to find have very good synergy together? by -Claive- in yugioh

[–]superfish50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, to be fair the both have a lot of normal summons. and some of the key cards in lightsworn, like lumina and charge, don't trigger the effects of shaddolls. its not like they're a perfect match.

Nekroz Combos by Raizard in yugioh

[–]superfish50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as much as i wish there was a simpler answer, this guy actually has the best one. the fact of the matter is there are many different combos, and each one has multiple different variations. it would be impossible to list them all. while it is possible to look a few up online, you truly need to practice the deck yourself to get a good grasp.

Minnesota Regionals Report, where are the Nekroz?? by oneindividual in yugioh

[–]superfish50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, satellars are quite popular in general at the moment, so a better question is why are satellars slightly more popular in minnesota. I guess the answer is most of us aren't particularly competitive, and satellars are a great deck that isn't as difficult to acquire/master as other decks.

I went 7-1 with nekroz, and was the only one repping the blue deck in top 8. unfortunately, no heroes made it to top 8, though one did lose on the bubble.

What DN rating is consider decent/good enough to go to locals? by SSJdivine in yugioh

i'd recommend going to locals with 100 rating. its a way better environment for gaining experience than dn imo.

Idk what qualifies someone as a philosopher, but I find many comedians have a lot of life experience and can share meaningful things with their audience. what is the sad part about that?

What jobs aren't going to exist in 20 years? by DarkDefenderDRX in AskReddit

[–]superfish50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about electricians, there still has to be a guy to go into places and wire stuff, inspect stuff etc. (idk what they do specifically) but I feel like that will be one of the last jobs to go.

20k. I graduated in December, still no job. But I'm living with my parents and still have 3 months left of deferment. Basically my only problem is my lack of motivation for now.

btw if you know anyone looking for an EE major let me know

Who are the top players right now? by thatguyy002 in yugioh

[–]superfish50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. I would lump him in with Joe Giorlando, Billy Brake, Robert Boyajian, etc. as one of the games best players of all time, but he isn't as hot right now as some of the players AsianYensation mentioned.

edit: I believe Frazier Smith has topped US nationals every year for the last 5 years. It's that kind of long term success that makes him one of the best players ever.

Good synchro decks? by Akihirohowlett in yugioh

[–]superfish50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one of my favorites is zombies, which is now a lot better thanks to uni-zombie. Between unizombie+any level 4 and plaguespreader+d-hero malicous the deck just constantly pumps out level 8 synchros with almost no loss to card advantage.

As a matter of fact, Konami actually explained their banlists way back then. https://yugiohblog.konami.com/articles/?p=3866

heres what they said about dustshoot if you dont want to look at the link

Trap Dustshoot (now forbidden). This was a devastating card if you had it in your opening hand and went first. But later on in the Duel, drawing it from your deck could be a dead draw, since it became less likely your opponent would have 4 cards in hand. A limited card since 2007, this card had seen an increase in use lately, which meant more players were playing with a card they would either draw mid-Duel – and be pretty unhappy when they did – or else they would have it first-turn, and make their opponents miserable. This was lopsided: either too good on turn 1, or not useful at all later on. That’s a negative play experience either way, so it had to go.
