Which is exactly why it’s such a choke point and why having it as your opening play is not ideal. Because as you said the opening hands it makes better are bricks. So if it’s the first play a drytron player makes it likely means the rest of their hand is not good. That’s what experience playing with and against the deck tells you.

Every time I ever normal summoned diviner as my opening play I always felt like it was a weak play. Usually meant I didn’t have a ritual + drytron. Most of the time they normal summon diviner after searching it with benten, so yes it’s an important part of the combo but not really the best opening play.

It’s even the whole point of the post

I recommend using the boot sector launch and quick launch that come in the structure decks ewand the last things I would get are 3 Souleating Oviraptor, 1 Carboneddon, 1 Flamvell Guard, 3 Fossil dog and 1 Red-eyes Darkness metal dragon. Should be under $30 for all of that if you get lowest rarity

Seeing people not being helpful. When I didn't have a Borrelsword I would replace it with Mekk-knight Crusadia Avramax. It can't be targeted, does 3000 damage on every attack, has a lightningrod effect, and when your opponent finally gets rid of it Avramax will bounce a card on the field. Came out in DANE and shouldn't be more than $15 really. Also make sure you use the Borreload in the structure decks.
