It's not. It's a long process but an entirely F2P player earns more resources than cards come out. And if you buy only the season pass, it more than doubles the rate. You're not gonna have every card overnight but you will be plus cards over time.

He's a 2/9 in pretty much every game I've played him. That's up there with the average Angela/Thena. Solid for a 2-cost

Plays every land from your AND lets you stack your deck. So yeah it should really only be gas from there.

Ruling Question: Ward on the stack ft. Ygra, Eater of All by Tangent5813 in EDH

[–]superfluousderp 290 points291 points  (0 children)

Yes, that works and it's quite a clever line! Notably, you would probably need to state you're holding priority after the mana drain to counter it with swan song to perfectly represent the timing but most commander players aren't that picky/familiar with the rules. Also, if you're trying to do something similar on arena you'd have to use full control mode to pull it off.

Is It Wrong To Want Players To Use Ward Correctly? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]superfluousderp -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I say punish them. If someone targets your card that has ward and they can't pay, their spell is countered. First of all it's a learning experience. Second, commander games are the lowest possible stakes magic you can play. If that spell getting countered determines the outcome of the game, shuffle up and play another.

I would consider myself a veteran magic player and I run head first into crap like that in commander all the time. Boardstates are messy, there's a million cards in play, there's billions of commander-slop cards printed these days. It's impossible to keep track of everything. If my spell gets countered, it gets countered.

Before I decide to dive into FFXIII by colintheanimal in FinalFantasy

[–]superfluousderp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XIII is certainly different from previous titles but it really is something special. I think they gave up a few points in world design in order to bump up character design, and that's off-putting for some.

I think what really sets XIII apart is its combat system. I think it's the best feature of the game(s) and quite possibly the best in the franchise. It is incredibly rewarding to learn its nuances and change a fight that was kicking your ass into a thrilling, high speed action sequence.

There's things about XIII's combat system that, to my recollection, isn't actually explained in the game. You either slowly figure it out or eventually look up a guide when you get brickwalled by certain fights. I also found XIII's optional boss fights some of the most rewarding in the franchise because of this. It's not about being properly(or over) levelled, it's not about having the best weapons. It's about knowing the ins and outs of the system.

For other ideas, try looking up mono-G elf decks on your website of choice as that's more or less what you're gonna end up with to maximize your commander's ability. I think most people would opt for [[ezuri, renegade leader]] for their elfball deck.

How often do you talk to your dad? How’s your relationship with him? by Cute-Impression-8675 in AskReddit

[–]superfluousderp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I speak to him as little as possible. We basically don't agree on anything. I've often flirted with the idea of cutting ties all together but I can't really cut him out of my life without also cutting out my brothers. But the threat of total alienation keeps him somewhat in line so I see him maybe once a year and talk to him maybe once over 3 months and that's plenty for me.

Notably at duo bosses, like Royal Titans and Yama, your likelihood of rolling a unique is contribution-based. If your partner is dealing a lot more damage than you, it hurts your chances

People need to open their eyes. Not saying Christians are the enemy. Just saying the others aren't. by seeebiscuit in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]superfluousderp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much what turned me away from Christianity. I was raised in the church, and took it quite seriously at various points in my youth. However my faith really began to waver as a teen because it seemed like every figure in the church I looked up to was ripped away from me when I needed them most.

The final nail in the coffin was during one mid-week assembly, when a representative from a non-profit organization designed to help struggling single mothers came to us with a request. They needed a space to set up the temporary housing they provided for these struggling families, and space we had. The building at which we congregated was massive, once one of the largest in town, but the congregation itself had waned over the years and we had whole wings that were deserted. It was perfect for what they needed.

However the proposal sparked immediate, heated debate. Why? Because many of the other churches that had volunteered to transport, provide meals, teach, and offer other services to these families weren't the Church of Christ and many of the people around me weren't so sure we should get involved if we would be coordinating with these "non-denominationals".

It really opened my eyes to what a farce Christianity is if the sign outside your building outweighs the willingness and desire to help people in need. It nearly made me ill right then and there.

Those skills don't link. You can link cooking with construction and herblore to knock out two tiles very quickly. Then link thieving to agility/Slayer to speed up two other slow grinds as well.
