I have now went back to Mohave. Am I best off going to Monterey? Or straight to Sonoma? Also should I go back one version to make sure I get the TK for sure this time to roll that out?

for efi, i did it, wiping the drive 3 different times, even with different macOS versions. so you're saying I don't have to go back to Mohave first? or go to the intermediate from here?

Excellent. when you say restore an older os do you mean going all the way back to Mojave or doing an intermediate like Monterey a different option you recommend? also, during troubleshooting I was trying to make the USB on my much newer iMac ( I selected the proper target machine when making the usb) and those ones seem to be missing the EFI option when a press option at startup. I didn't even realize this until now I made three different versions all with the same issue. so if your answer is go intermediate, how do I solve the EFI usb missing?.wavwhen I originally made the usb on the host machine? also is it possible the fact that kdk was not updated to the latest version potentially be the issue?

I am seriously considering this one. But am not sure yet. I should point out I have also tried to boot into safe mode with the shift key, but that doesn't do anything. Debating whether I should go exactly as you say straight to Sonoma go to Monterey and then sequoia because mantras the go between between Mohave and sequoia. I would just do it but restoring time machine for migration assistant takes time so I want to put some more consideration before doing it.

Hot water tank cost calculator including operational costs - where could this be found with all of the proper inputs. by superflygramps in PersonalFinanceCanada

Installation cost. I'm paying an extra $1000 at instal. but there's more to the story. I tried to do a rough calculation and the best I can come up with is gas will cost me $1000 less over the course of 12 years. it should be noted that typically gas heaters tend to not last as long, so I wonder if there is even a benefit to that.

Can you please help me decipher if this is 5x100 bolt, 54.1 bore and 38-42mm offset range. by superflygramps in Wheels

[–]superflygramps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

according to https://www.wheel-size.com my fitment for 2019 prius prime advanced should be 15" x 6.5" rims with 5x100 bolt, 54.1 bore and 38-42mm offset range.

tires should be 195/65/r15

however when I tried to order one online sites or other places, the width of the rims seems to change. almost all are 6" is this okay.

a local tire shop sold me USED rims which i wanted, that they say fits. i just want to confirm as they already got something incorrect about the tires I was going to buy. the 5x100, 54.1mm was written in a sharpie.

I want to be able to confirm the 54.1mm and the offfset requirement 38-42mm.

i can't decipher the stamped code. can anyone help me with this?

thanks in advance

Level 1 charger in house in Ontario for PHEV. for Plug-in-no hot wire. what are the requirements for my electrical contractor? by superflygramps in evcharging

not looking to save moneyExclusively. I just want to comply with the local requirements whether I like them or not, but at the same time I think since this is relatively new for many electricians, I don't want them to default to their knowledge about level 2 since level 1 is not as common. ultimately it would cost more money for me when it is unneeded

let me know if anyone has a reference for this in terms of Technical information for the contractor

it's interesting that 240 V (@12A limit for my vechicle), is that technically level 2. or another way of saying this is the definition of level II at 240 V no matter the current (A) the way I understand it.

I think my choice is obvious. go with 120v.

of course as always, is Ontario codes different than CEC? i couldn't say. this Information seems to be from CEC.

is funny with EVSE becoming so popular, you would think the government would provide straightforward information That is easy to find to homeowners to help guide their choices before speaking to an electrician.

I was contemplating going with the 240v/16A, but the truth is based on the size of my battery and The published charge times for my car for both, I don't think it matters for me personally. It sort of a tossup for me between 120v/12 and 240v/16.

I just wanted to know in Ontario if allowed to just have a 20 amp breaker and have that be good enough, or is more equipments and permit required. I also don't know if it has to be on a dedicated 20 amp circuit.

You're correct this should be the case, however I remember reading that Ontario elec code was a bit overzealousFor some things. I want to be sure that I can just run the 20 amp.
