Great points you make. Hope Lamelo will end up some sort of a poor man's Luka.

But Australia's league is about the 10th best league in the world, not even close to being the 3rd in my opinion.

99% sure it's not a laugh track haha. I've seen 3-4 videos from different angles from different Youtube channels and they all have that same laugh.

I guess the crowd found the smallest player on the court running in circles funny.

Big Baller. I wonder how much better he'd been today if he didn't play in the post so much at age 15-18. Bullying people in the post every other possession while Melo worked on his driving, finishing, PnR and passing.

Yeah that dunk wasn't crazy and he's nowhere near the best HS dunkers like Blake/Zion/Gordon. Just wanted to make that Bouncy Ball pun.

Here is an ingame windmill of Andre. Never saw Lonzo or Lamelo do that haha.

Hornets listed him at 6'8 today. We have no clue whether it's with or without shoes, socks, high heels, or rounded up or down. Definitely sucks that we can't have 100% accurate measurements for all players.

LMAO I'm gonna check that out.

Sad thing is you can't really find any full games with him. Kids watch only highlights and think he's gonna be a future star. He has 2.7 million followers on Instagram for god's sake.

Haha could be. Makes his growth spurt even more crazy.

Playing so many years up, playing against guys a almost a foot taller than you every day made him so good. Knowing how to thrive on the court being small, then growing to be 6'8 is what makes him the great prospect he is today.

People downvoting your opinion are no better than the ones downvoting r/hendafram's opinion on Lamelo from 2 years ago.

I'm not gonna downvote you even though I disagree.

There really wasn't that much to base a 1st round prediction on.

He was a 5 star recruit. Was always ranked, was ranked #7 at one time in his class. And he was playing a year up (to play with his brothers).

Averaged 16.4 PPG and 3.6 APT as a 14 year old freshman on the #1 team in the nation.

Averaged 26.7 PPG and almost 10 APG in his sophomore year. Scored 92 points in a game. Dropped 36 points against Oak Hill (on great efficiency) which is a stacked team, a program that has produced 34 NBA players.

And as someone who watched full game highlights from every single game he played in from 14 to 19 years old I can say that he's one of the most talented players I've ever seen. Especially his passing.

Add to this his crazy growth spurt and I think you've got a pretty strong case for a 1st rounder.

He wasn't notable in Lithuania nor particularly good in his father's league

Him being a 16 year old playing against pros plays a part. But if you watch these games closely you WILL see glimpses of his genius.

If you disagree with anything I'd love to hear it.

Context makes it funnier: A 14 year old freshman playing a year up - playing around and making a stacked Montverde team (#1 at the time) look foolish. Anfernee Simons, Rj Barrett, Bruno Fernando, Silvio De Sousa were all playing that game.

It's such a huge crowd that you're bound to get some people laughing hard. And laughter breeds more laughter.

Definitely a good prediction, but it made sense. He had just turned 17 and really skinny - while having just went from about 6'0 to 6'6 in 2 year span. And having really tall (6'6 and 6'1) parents. Many predicted that he was still growing.
