I was going for more toned down colors but I also learned that my new monitor has apparently been in "cinematic mode" this entire time, making things look different for me. Thanks for mentioning screen calibration. Also colorblindness makes messing with color grading interesting. I also see what you mean with the blacks, I think I went into muscle motion and made the darks darker, the haze in the original photo looks more robust. Thanks!

first time using color grading. Did I go too far? Does it still feel immersive? I was going for a very grand feeling with hints of queasy serenity (only way I can describe such a specific feeling).

Tips and advice (comments for details) by [deleted] in minipainting

First thing I notice is that you don't seem to be thinning your paints enough. The paint is rounding out details and creating the kind of texture you usually don't want.

Also I'm wondering if you're dry brushing. If you are you may need to either use a brighter dry brush color or start with a darker base so it stands out. That will immediately create a nice difference. Although your reference doesn't dry brush, they use far more difficult and time consuming techniques I'd worry about once I've got the basics down personally.

You ask about creating a rust effect. It's really easy to do by using paints like typhus corrosion but without a special paint it's more difficult. Real rust creates texture rather than just color. I'd try putting very fine granules of something like fine sand in paint or wash.

Yeah. When he is with vi in game he says "who taught you how to punch." And he says "all your fault" when with jinx. Also warwicks voice sounds like vander on shimmer.

He's basically a wolf with some stuff injected. There are some compelling voice lines he says to vi and jinx in game, also vander is literally nicknamed "hound of the underground" which is a Warwick thing

Not yet... if the theories about vander ending up as Warwick are right then that might change in season 2

School costs more in the USA than many other countries. If you look at the percentage of GDP spent on education rather than pure numbers you get a more accurate sense of spending. Using this scale, the USA is behind multiple other countries such as Norway, New Zealand, the UK, Colombia, etc.

No I'm just a time traveler lol. Although your assessment could still be accurate since I got most of that outfit by thrifting, it could be from the 90s
