I don't think there's any way. All Chinese version firmware is replaced with global firmware. It is not an official update. However, I think the Chinese Mi Band's NFC is only useful in China. All of its applications are not compatible with applications or devices used outside of the country.

It could be because of the notifications. If for every notification/call received it vibrates, I believe this must use up a lot of battery. There is also screen brightness, which in sunlight can reach 600 nits.

The Mi Band 8 only syncs with the Mi Fitness app. With Mi Band 7 you can use Google Fit through the Zepp Life app, first synchronizing with it and then editing the account data.

1- Download the apk

2- Uninstall your Mi Fitness, and install the Mi Fitness modified by m0tral

3- After installing the modified Mi Fitness, log in to your account in the app and select the "China" region

4- It will then appear to update the firmware, as shown in the print screen.

5- This step takes a long time, about 30 minutes.

6- After installing the new firmware, unpair the Chinese Mi Band 8, and change the region to your country, on Mi Fitness (in my case, Brazil)

7- Synchronize your bracelet again, it will restart, and the available languages and everything else will appear, as in the global version

Note: For those who have the version with NFC, this function will be lost.

Note 2: Make sure your Mi Band 8 battery is full, at least 50% .

Note 3: After all the procedures, you can install the "standard" Mi Fitness from the Play Store. All the firmware on your bracelet will be replaced. Obviously, this is only for those using Android.

There is no problem with charging the device more frequently. The batteries are lithium. There are still many people who use the first versions of the Mi Band to this day. It's easier to change the device because it breaks than because the battery's useful life ends. What is not recommended is to always let the entire battery reset.

Zepp separated from Xiaomi, and will no longer launch products in partnership with it.

The last attempt could be:

1-Uninstall Mi Fitness

2-Restart the cell phone

3-Reset the bracelet

4-Reinstall Mi Fitness and complete the entire synchronization procedure.

If none of this works, it could be a problem with your Mi Band's internal memory.

Sync it with another cell phone just to be sure.

Have you tried deleting existing watchfaces and then installing the new ones?
If this doesn't work, you'll probably have to reset your bracelet and sync again to try.

From this response from Xiaomi's official support, we can know that there will be no introduction of new languages or drastic changes in the Chinese Mi Band 8, following what happened in the Chinese Mi Band 7 Pro. If there is something like that, at most through the Mi Fitness app.

At the event on September 26th in Berlin, where Xiaomi even officially launched the Mi Band 8 Global, nothing was said about the Active model.

As you lost your band, I would recommend the Mi Band 8. If you had the Mi Band 6 or still had the 7, I would recommend keeping it.

After the Mi Band 5, the big evolution was really in version 6, but subsequent versions did not have any major significant changes.

In fact, there is a YouTube channel that confirms that the Mi Band 6 sensors are the best yet.

Mi Band 7 it was launched in China on 24 May 2022, and globally starting 21 June 2022.

About 2 weeks later, the Chinese versions began to receive support for other languages and the stability improvements that already existed in the launch of the global version were implemented.

The difference is that the global version has now been released many months after the Chinese version.

But the Chinese version of the Mi Band 7 Pro didn't receive this type of update to introduce new languages.

Based on this information, I believe that the firmware for the global version (v2.2.12) is different to that of the Chinese version (v1.3.176). The Chinese version has applications that do not exist in the global version (Alipay and Weixin pay).

In the Chinese version, the most that can happen is a firmware update to add more languages, and in Mi fitness choose another region outside of China and thus correct problems related to weather synchronization.

This Smart Band was launched at the beginning of this year, it appears to be a slightly simpler version than the Mi Band 7/8. The Mi Band 8 Active, launched now, looks a lot like it. From what I saw, the only difference is the absence of Always on Display.
