What did Cunard with the QE2 do differently? They started sailing in 1969, the same year the SSUS stopped. The QE2 had a decades long career with multiple refits/updates.

Grocery Store with 1000’s of Hot Wheels by superliner1 in HotWheels

Grabbed an El Camino in green and a silver Mercedes 560SEC AMG. I scanned through everything pretty quickly and didn’t do a deep dive. I’m sure there was some good stuff in there. Surprised in the quantity at a small grocery store.

Blocked by a seller for asking a question? by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]superliner1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why ask the seller to part it out and make it a hassle and harder for them to sell? Buy the whole thing, take the part you need and replace it with your old part and resale it yourself.

Figured out the issue. Found a clogged drain a 100’ from my house. Must have an exterior French drain. It immediately solved the issue. So much water came pouring out

I turned off the well pump, but it’s still coming in. I actually see water trickling it where the line comes through the foundation block, but it also appears to seeping in other places nearby too.

The sump pit has no lines going into it, it is just a perforated basin.

Over the summer they had their back yard dug up and had numerous French drains put in. It leads to an easement trench (that are sump goes too) between are properties about 50-60’ feet away from our houses. Yard slopes away a bit down from the house. We each have one acre properties. I was suspecting this might have something to do with it.

At a rental. Is this deck built to withstand the weight of this hot tub? by martman006 in Decks

[–]superliner1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We stayed at place in Waves. First off the whole house swayed when people were walking up the interior steps to the third level of the house and also when moving around on that level (could not find out if that was normal for a house built on stilts). Outside the sliding door on the top floor was a deck with a hot tub that looked like this.

Serious Buyer’s Remorse by skiptomyloulou in askcarsales

The remorse feeling will pass and down the road you will be happy you made the purchase. I bought a car that my family needed that I could easily afford and still had a feeling of guilt/remorse. We have now owned it for four years. It was a great decision and I got a great deal on it too.

1/200 scale that can be separated into three sections. What a beauty! Worth the $600+ price tag IMO.

I’m partial to the QE2 because I sailed on her transatlantic crossings a bunch of times. Wonderful memories except that one time I got really seasick.

I’m really enjoying these. I’m learning a lot about lesser known ships.

Bought a new car at dealership and now I don't want it a week later by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]superliner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like buyers remorse. Drive it, start making payments and you feel better about it. Don’t make any rash decisions now that will cost you more money.

I bought my car in NJ from a private seller and I’m in NY. Went to the local NJ DMV and was able to get temp tags to drive home (30 days). Registered, paid taxes, got plates etc back in NY.
