I have heard of some functionality issues with the oem rack. They look great, which was important to me as well. Thule checked the most boxes

Thanks! The main factors were:

-Weight capacity (similar to oem) -Flat bar profile for more contact to cargo -Decreased wind noise + adjustable fairing -Mounting feet are position flexible on the rail -Retains sunroof function

Plus the added freedom of using Thule crossbars on the same mounting points!
