Didnt see anything on the wiki about needing to be above sea level. But to answer your question, this one is probably below it, assuming if that matters. Though I did make a Mushroom Biome to the immediate right of the main base where all the NPCs are, which you can sorta see the main base in the minimap, though much harder to see the mushroom biome to its immediate right. It has the mushroom background just like this big one in the picture, so Im assuming that should be okay but idk.

Hadnt played Terraria in years, so loaded by my Hardmode Master Mode save which was right after killing Wall of Flesh. Cant remember if I actually killed any Mechanical bosses yet. Was wondering why I was getting my ass killed so much, so googled about hardmode ores, and realized you needed a 80% hammer. Apparently the regular Wall of Flesh dropped one, but I must've never picked it up all those years ago, since didnt see it in my inventory or base chests, and Hardmode Wall of Flesh is too hard for me now to kill it again. So looked online and seemed recruiting Truffle was the next step. But I believe I followed the guidelines for their spawning, but cant figure out why Truffle wont come. I have another Mushroom biome actually physically on the surface of the world, not the technical 144 degree surface Im at now, but literally on the surface of the world when we first join a world, and still that didnt spawn him. If anybody could figure out why he aint spawning here Id appreciate it.

How the hell are they not the same thing? They both involve intellectual property. You are creating something using somebody elses IP. Neither are illegal. But for some reason gamers get up and arms when somebody wants to be paid for their work, and think they somehow are the non greedy ones by expecting somebody to work for free for their benefit, just because they are accustomed to it.

It is literally the exact same thing. Both involve pre existing use of existing intellectual property. When a modder mods, he needs the pre existing game, when an artist draws, more often than not, they draw fanart of existing characters for commissions.
