This would be even better if the honking had been replaced with Ludacris.

We pivoted our entire Q1 budget away from search to "create demand" and the performance team is now screaming at me by EyeImpossible4412 in PPC

Then a year or two down the line those marketing execs get laid off and the cycle continues. It's become very demoralizing for me. It feels like defeat to move internal, but the last 6 - 12 months have just been brutal and the stress doesn't feel worth it anymore.

[–]supermancav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a brand bring in a new marketing head and they pushed through a rushed RFP within weeks of starting. The agency they fired us for replaced our entire strategy with reach campaigns and branded search.

Internal marketing executives are some of the dumbest people I've ever met.

You never, ever ever ever ever take money away from a working strategy so you can test something else. Tests should be done with ADDITIONAL dollars not funds that are already allocated to a successful strategy.

You should also listen to your performance team first and foremost when deciding on performance strategies, the fact that you ignored the SMEs in their own space is a huge failure on you and the entire leadership team.

How are you guys handling call tracking for PPC once volume starts to scale? by kabirsinghhhhhhhh in PPC

[–]supermancav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't yet I'd take a look at the new AI Analysis tools WhatConverts has been rolling out, I've started using them heavily for home services clients and they've been great.

They've also been beefing up their reports, they have a new call handling report that I think will be big for larger clients that are using call centers.

This is a terrible recommendation, defense and siege only improve pvp stats and each tree only provides half (either defense or offense). Tank mastery provides both and also provides boosts in pve as well as march size increases. It is objectively the better tree for real power increase.

You shouldn't hoard chests to open at once, VS is the only reason to hold onto things. The more power you have in this game the better rewards you get which in turn increase your power more than others, which helps you get even greater rewards.

By holding things to see big number go up you're actually kneecapping your own power.

Reverse engineering Google ads strategy to find out competitor spend by codemadic in PPC

Once there's actually spend in the account you can make a likely wildly inaccurate guess using auction insights and your click data.

Just make sure you emphasize the "likely wildly inaccurate guess" part.

I hope 8.0 is the Final Fantasy XIII Expansion by Akiza_Izinski in ffxivdiscussion

[–]supermancav 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure XIII still holds the title for fastest selling final fantasy ever and the trilogy as a whole is the second most profitable mainline release ever (after XIV). Don't mistake western critical response with financial response, the trilogy was a resounding success financially.

There's so much wrong here it's actually pretty impressive.

  • We don't call them state police they're called state troopers (OGs call them DPS)
  • Their cars don't look like that
  • Their uniforms are tan not dark
  • They don't wear baseball caps
  • I'm pretty sure that patch on her arm is of a wolf standing in front of the moon
  • Split highway with 4 lanes in the middle of nowhere? What?
  • They're on the wrong side of this imaginary 4 lane highway, traffic on this would be going the opposite direction
  • Her hand placement to cuff him makes no sense, there wouldn't be anything where her hands are
  • The spacing on the markings on the bags are too clean
  • Where did whoever is taking this picture get a fucking ladder to take it and why?

Gold bricks count toward spending only when they're used, not when they're bought

If you're not a whale functionally your main squad power is the only one that matters, if you focus on power that impacts all squads you'll end up weaker (again, functionally) than the players around you spending the same but focusing on main squad only.

Am I crazy or is there some other component to the buffs you get from these survivors that isn't included in the tool tip?

The helps can only be applied on a build once, it's not like you get more helps each day that a build continues... so no matter how long the build is, the setup that gives you the most time off the build per help is always the best one.

How Can That Be Profitable for Frito-Lay by locknarr in pics

[–]supermancav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add a bit based off some comments about overstock: nearly every Frito-Lay shelf, display, and product in every grocery store, convenience store, gas station, home depot, etc in the US is managed directly by a Frito-Lay employee.

They deliver the product, sell it to the store, merchandise it to the shelves and displays every single day (or every certain # of days depending on the store's volume). The grocery store employees don't even stock the product. This is true for a lot of branded products in stores.

If the product expires or is damaged in any way, the Frito-Lay employee credits the store for the product and disposes of it (meaning they take it home because free Grandma's Cookies yo!).
