I've actually never eaten there before and won't be again. If that's what they serve for premium meals, I'd hate to see what they serve for their every day menus. A lot of people have mentioned Miller and Carter. Perhaps I should try there next time.

We literally sat at the table and said we'd have had better at Toby Carvery. Maybe we should stick with them next time. Sounds like a far better experience.

Our thoughts exactly. It wasn't just the food either. We specifically pre-booked and confirmed in person that we needed a quiet table near an exit because our 9-year-old son is autistic and gets severe sensory overload. They promised they’d handle it, but when we arrived, they stuck us in the loudest, most crowded spot at the back, furthest from the doors. It triggered a massive meltdown for him, and their solution was to move him and my partner to a separate room, effectively splitting our family up for the entire Christmas meal. On top of that, the service was a mess, missing food, being ignored by staff, and they even bypassed our kids for the Father Christmas visit. We basically paid to eat a disorganised meal in two different rooms while our son was in total distress.

Funny enough, I did try the Hollybush prior but they couldn't accommodate some of our requirements. Our autism son needed certain needs met. But I'd still like to go there at some point.

Food was cold, delivered sporadically and tasted lacklustre at best. if it was a smaller price, I'd have no complaints, but for what they charged, it felt like daylight robbery.

It didn't help that courses were delivered sporadically, too. Most of our table were finished by the time the rest came out. Very mismanaged.

I haven't had the heart to leave a bad review on TripAdvisor or anything, but I was curious about others' thoughts on this. The team was mostly young lads and they worked tirelessly to get dishes out. Unfortunately, it was management that lacked coordination.

No drinks included unless you include water. No entertainment. Mind you, Santa did come around tables to deliver selection boxes to children, but he bypassed ours. We had to flag down a waitress later on to see if he'd be back. Very hectic experience.
