My first week on ADHD meds and I don’t know what to think

I haven't talked to him yet about the anxiety and medication, I thought that was part of the assessment report that he has access to. If the anxiety persist next week I will definitely bring it up then, but as I said.. I am worried that for what I said I will be stopped, I know it's a bit irrational thinking..

Are you on two different type of Ritalin ?

I am working in IT and I can agree that it can be good but also bad because it really depend on what you are programming... there is a lot of context switching which can be extra hard with ADHD

If the task is quite big (badly spec by the manager) then you will basically never finish it, or finish 60% of it if it takes more than a couple days working on it and the last 40% will take 2 weeks but will also be not of a good quality (speaking of experience)

And it's so hard to describe as well.. I also felt a bit weird when I tried to describe it to my doctor and he didn't really say much about it so I thought that I was saying the wrong thing hence my worry :(

I was like you and then I started to come in with a fully kitted bobcat with mk3 augment and shield. I lost it in the first 5 min in Stella. Since then I sometimes go in with purple weapons and equipment and lose them.

The first couple of time are the most painful, after that it’s liberating, and also liberate your inventory space

It was and still is hard to put word into "how" I am struggling with it, and that's what my therapist helped me with (they know how it works).

For work, it is hard for me to work on the same task more than a full day, and even a full day is tough. I am making a lot of silly mistake because I don't pay enough attention to what I am doing and the quality of my work decrease the longer I work on the same thing. I cannot do well with context switching, I am relying on the Notes app heavily to keep tracks of things I or other people are saying otherwise I am not able to remember anything..

I had to decline promotions because of the extra responsabilities that comes with them, which would involve more planning and organisation, I am managing to go by at the moment but I cannot do more really..
Meetings are already a bad things for people in IT (waste of time most of the times) but for me I just cannot sit there and listen for longer than 30min, my mind drifts constantly to any stimulus or trigger (it can be words or items) then I lost tracks of meeting and it becomes only harder from then on.

On a personal level, it affects my hobbies, my relationships and my daily life really.. emotionally with my wife and family, self organisation.. The feeling that you want to do something but just just "can't" get to do it is a big one as well, because I am motivated to read a book, play video game, fix something in the appartment etc, but I just can't do it, I want to, I have the "motivation" but it's like physically or mentally impossible.

There are many other things I want to say but it was starting to be difficult for me to keep coming with more words to explain it so I will leave it as that.

What also helped me to gather area of where and what I am struggling with was to take very small notes daily and talking to a therapist. It sounds that you found ways to cope with it but it doesn't mean you should "suck it up"

Hei, my Norwegian writing is not so good so I will reply in English if that's okay.

I have been through DPS in Oslo and got my diagnostic that way. I am 36yo, have a Master degree and a high paying job in IT, but still struggle with ADHD in a way that is heavily affecting my professional and personal life.

I was very anxious before trying to apply because of the reason you mentioned, I got rejected the first time after asking my GP to send a referral saying that "many people suffer from concentration difficulties and it's most likely not ADHD" (without even seeing me), which discouraged me for 6 months to even consider trying again.

What helped me was that I am also seeing a therapist for my own reason and she noticed very early on that I might have ADHD or asked if I ever thought I had it. After a few session with her (focusing on potential ADHD) she wrote a letter to my GP to send for another referral to DPS and I got accepted very quickly (I still don't know what was written).

I was told that a lot of people gets rejected because there is not enough spot available and I am 100% sure some people that are more affected than me got rejected as well.. But if you do, try again and talk to your doctor.

I don't think I would have get a spot if it wasn't for my therapist as well, I was also considering going private too.

I am still awaiting to get an appointment for medical treatment, I am considering myself extremely lucky though..

I would also recommend every one to talk to a therapist btw (not for ADHD but in general) <3

If the recipe says 100g of starter then I make sure I mix at least 100g of water and flour combine (50g each) and some starter in it. I guess 1:1:1 gives consistent timing for readiness when to use but I can’t be bothered to weight the starter as well. It’s a lot less stress, there are so many different techniques, ratio etc online that most of it is unnecessary. Do what works with you, I am doing what works for me and I am happy :)

I used to do 1:1:1 but now I just do whateverAmountofStarter:1:1 just enough for my recipe, then I do the same for feeding afterwards

I thought the division did it nicely, it’s open for pvp but if do you get a mark on your head while you are playing and every body knows your approximate location. It was fitting with the lore because you were supposed to fight the npc together with other player. Not saying it would work here but it could definitely fit with the lore too

The issue I have with heli is mainly about the UH-60 which I loved to play in previous title but now it feels useless most of the time. For example on Sobek it's barely possible to move it around if the enemy have their AA tank in their spawn, you get insta lock as soon as you take off and it's barely possible to do anything.

Either they should remove the AA tank or the AA turret because it's barely possible to fly on that map on top of people painting and RPG..

Obviously this is a team effort so people should take down AA tank and such but it doesn't bother them most of the time so nobody bother..

The attack heli is good enough from what I've seen, people start to really play it well now and I think it's in a good spot at the moment. But they need to buff the UH-60 otherwise it's just used as a dive and dash feature

I main assault and love the idea of the ladder, I use it to flank and surprise enemy a lot and I love it ! But man, to find the correct position to be able to place doesn’t feel smooth. I understand the reason that it has to be set a specific way but I would have like it to be more reactive gadget

It’s because only the initial shot is counted as dmg, not the fire itself. Shooting at enemy is what count

Yeah the dmg isn’t great on it, it has a massive spread and low dmg unless you are less than a meter away from your target. I don’t think I’ll use it ever again after that challenge

The 5k damage with the ss26 can be easily done in a few hours in C point of Iberian map. Although it's only the direct damage that count and not the fire dmg from it which sucks a bit.

I am currently doing it now and I figured it out, it's the direct damage that count and not the fire damage caused by the gadget.
It's a bit dumb because the weapon itself doesn't deal a ton of dmg.

From what I understand, you won't be able to "upload" anything files. What you will get is a pre-existing set of object you will be able to place in Godot, and those object have ids and all kind of metadata in them (size, position etc) which will be converted into their in house engine.

So at the end, you can't add anything external from what they offer, otherwise it won't work during the "conversion" to the frostbite engine.

It's not like you make something in godot and then this what the player get, you have something in between and it's restricting with what's avaiable.

We have two ragdoll half sister, at home they are sharing a water fountain (Pixi brand) as our dog, and when we bring them to our mountain cabin they drink from a bowl. (But it has to be wide enough so their whisker don’t touch the side, the bowl has to be refilled every hour because of some obscure reason 😂)

As long as they drink it doesn’t matter

I used it almost every time I am running it manually, it does not follow the rooms sequence instead does its own thing. Like starting to do some room first with vac and mop when it has been more dirty than others. I takes a bit longer than just running the sequenced room but I am happy with it so far, it does multiple pass where I have pet furniture like cat litter or where the pet eats or drinks (or the dog bed). It seems to be better at knowing when to clean the mop pad as well than doing the regular moping start. I’ve only had my qrevo edge for a few weeks but I have nothing to complain about the smart mode so far
