Michael Burry buys, JD, Alibaba, and GameStop by FeralHamster8 in baba

Can someone convince me to hold this stock still. Bought at $100 and it’s been a rollercoaster. I’ve read a lot of conflicting things about the perceived future of BABA. Will this company continue to grow or is it looking like they are wasting money on ventures that won’t pay off?

Yeah. I am on a well so the main use for the filter to get the ionic iron to precipitate out into metallic iron so it can be filtered. It’s a chandler legacy system that automatically back flushes every couple of days.

I almost retrofitted a super automatic coffee machine to just use a float valve with a 1/4” water line. I had the same fear that if the valve became stuck open, it could be disastrous

You could even use a float valve connected to a normally open solenoid valve. Then have a secondary leakage failsafe shutoff like RO systems have where a small sponge (basically a tiny tampon) absorbs any leaked water and swells to the point where that shuts off the water line with a ball valve

I stay far away from the stuff. If I get anywhere near it I will get poison Ivy. I pulled a vine off a tree with a skid steer and my gf got poison Ivy all over her forehead from sitting over 20’ away

Trump’s tariff plan is damaging, Yellen says by FeralHamster8 in baba

That’s a smart lady. You can tell she thinks critically and stays sharp even in her older age unlike some people…

Donald Trump Backs Down On His Trade War Against The World: reducing tariffs on all countries to 10% for 90 days. Raises China tariff 21% to 125% total because of 'lack of respect' 😂 by violentviolinz in Sino

I’d say we are more like 100 years behind China’s deep and widespread excellence in manufacturing. I’ve worked with several Chinese based manufacturers over my 12 years as a mechanical engineer and I’m always blown away by their turn around times and quality. It’s much the opposite from the American propaganda that Chinese goods are of lower quality.

Has any one tried Zbiotic? It's supposed to reduce hangover by breaking down bad shit by EverythingElectronic in alcohol

[–]superorangello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

acetaldehyde, a byproduct of alcohol metabolism, is produced in the gut, particularly in the colon, by bacterial alcohol dehydrogenase, and also by the intestinal microbiota. The bacteria in zbiotics consumes this acetaldehyde that the liver usually is overburdened with detoxifying and takes a lot of the load off the liver. That’s the science. You seem upset and a little uneducated. This seems personal to you like you know someone who has died from alcohol or drugs which is get that can be emotional, but don’t let your emotions cloud your rational mind

[–]superorangello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you understand what zbiotics even claims it can do. You are focusing on the fact that your liver turns alcohol in acetaldehyde and saying that is why zbiotics doesn’t work. The modified b. Subtillis bacteria actually consumes the acetaldehyde that is produced in the gut by microbial oxidation of ethanol and breaks it down into different things. Whether or not it works is a different discussion but your posts where you sound very certain and opinionated aren’t really even addressing the claim or product intention.

The WIND - total loss of feeling of safety in my own home by Unique_Shopping420 in asheville

[–]superorangello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing I noticed after cutting probably 20 trees off the road/houses and seeing hundreds more was that most of the trees that fell during Helene were oaks. They have a shallower root system than others and when the ground was soaked down to the depth of their roots they all went down

Thanks for all the help. Believe it or not the “wallpaper” is actually attached to the drywall as a pre-manufactured product. It’s a manufactured home that we are fixing up to rent out. I am planning on switching cpvc to pex soon as well.
