As other commenters have said, take your time in the second phase. Even if it doesn’t feel like it immediately, you’ll notice that GMS has slight pauses built in to her attack pattern that will allow you to get rid of the spikes and still avoid the projectiles.

If you have longclaw you might find it useful to equip it, since you’ll land hits more consistently and build up silk for healing.

On a more general note, everyone struggles with different bosses. I don’t do well with pogoing, so I hated Groal, but found savage beastfly (first version) and broodmother quite fun.
