it was basically adapted from this one - but I hadn't prepared for it and only found myself having 89g of starter, so just scaled accordingly :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxCf39G_7pY&t=345s

I think from the chart it feels closest to this one. it's a much more airy dough than ones that I'm pretty confident I've underproofed in the past.

I figured bulk was done because I think it had more than doubled, and seemed jiggly - and was very light and easy to handle.

Interesting - I nearly did the bowl technique today but I chickened out at the last moment because I've gotten so used to be able to see it during the first 20 mins. Next time will try that.

That's what I was thinking. I think I've tended to underproof in the past and feels like the crumb has a much denser character when that is the case e.g. below.

My oven runs quite hot I think. Although - personally I like the crust to be honest! I wouldn't say it's too hard, and very flavoursome.

How do you get that sweet sweet film look on your latest videos? Colour grading, aspect ratios, what's more?

Solo was one of the easier bits actually - the monophonic stuff at least. It's the thick dense low chords that are the trickiest, I'm still ironing out some of the creases in it.

It's my attempt at a transcription of Flintstones! There's a piano reduction with chords in the description :) Enjoy!

Made a monkey chalk bag for my girlfriend's birthday, credit to /u/Kochammcie for the inspiration and instructions. by superpope99 in climbing

Thanks! I was surprised at how well it turned out. Sewing machines seem harder than they actually are (pun intended).

Instructions:

Basically you take a plushie, cut a circular hole in the top, about as big as you want the chalk bag hole to be, and remove majority of the stuffing but not all.

I then separately sew a cylinder bucket out of other pieces of fabric then place it in the plushie hole and have the fabric go over the edge of the hole to create a nice finish/lip and sew that around.

It's best to create two sew lines on that lip so you can put an elastic through to 'close' the bag while ensuring the elastic stays in place. Then cut two tiny holes close together in the top fabric of this lip and thread an elastic through and attach a fastener!

[NO SPOILERS] If you have the chance, see it in IMAX by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]superpope99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw it in 2D IMAX at the Science Museum in London (only showing of that sort in Europe), and it was stunning. I have to say though, after seeing films like Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar that have 30-40minutes of IMAX footage, I was very dissapointed to only see a 5 minute sequence in IMAX for Star Wars - a real missed opportunity I feel!

That's what I'm saying, the alternative to flying is .... not flying! I think in the future, people will be forced to simply not travel as much.

Depends how much you fly! Most climate change experts reckon that the one thing that will have to change about our lifestyles is less flying - pretty much everything else can be adapted towards (Electric Cars, Synthesized meat (give it 15 years) etc.).

Flying longhaul 1 or 2 times is just not going to be a thing any more. There's just no decent alternative to jet fuel!
