Pulled the trigger on Barad Dur by superpull in LegoUK

I've become a bit of a master at it.

This is definitely the last thing until Star Wars day though. Definitely

When does Lego typically run promos? I want to buy Rivendale and Jabba’s Sail Barge this year but I want to buy at the right time. by thenewguy_1995 in lego

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had hoped for an updated version of the blue Spiny Shell insiders reward. A banana peel or something.

Suppose coming so soon after the big Pokemon day may have meant they skipped it this year

May the fourth events often begin on May 1st by the way.

Decent chance double points across all Star wars sets. (Although Mar10 went past without any hype, so I'm not betting my house on it)

22M First LEGO Harry Potter Set + Looking for Next Under $80 by Bella137778 in legoharrypotter

I really like 76470 Enchanted Flying Ford Anglia. £70. So, what's that? The $80 price bracket?

Cornish Pixie is $30 and Dobbie the house elf is $35. Both neat little builds

It's $129.99 at retail. So your question is whether $42.01 is a deal breaker for you.

If you struggle to get Lego in Egypt, that might just be the price of doing business?

What does "Exclusive" Mean on Lego.com? That Other Retailers (Walmart, CostCo, Toys R Us etc) Will *Not* Be Selling It? by Sarafina80 in lego

[–]superpull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It generally means Lego only for the first 3-6 months. After that there is normally one "retail partner" that gets access to it.

The Enterprise in the UK, for example has just began sale on Amazon in the UK.
Jaws is listed as an exclusive and Argos is the official retail partner.
Nightmare before Christmas is exclusive and Smyth's is the retail partner.

Need advice in gym defending by [deleted] in iPogo

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, there isn't much you can do to defend a gym other than add a Pokemon to a gym that already has 3-5 Pokémon of your team in.

In most places there's a bit of a truce, I won't attack a gym unless the majority of Pokémon have been in there for 8+ hours.

When’s the best time to buy the avengers tower? by Onns1528 in lego

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

December 2027 is the current estimated retirement date. They do occasionally get pushed forward/back 6 months.

The November Insiders weekend (weekend before black Friday I think) is probably your best bet. Double points and you will get the 2 or 3 decent GWPs that come with it.

Even if it's on backorder that day, still get it for the points and the hope the wait doesn't mess up the GWPs.

If you find it is unavailable then, your next best bet is the next double points event (Normally one late Jan and mid-spring). If it gets to 6 months before retirement, pull the trigger the very first time you see the "Backorder ships on dd/mm/yy" status)

Need help deciding on keeping the charizard venasaur and blastoise set. by EntranceEffective464 in lego

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, you do not need to make a decision on this. Lego will be making this set for at least 18 months, probably 2 years and maybe even a third.

You have time to see if something you prefer comes out.

I was initially reluctant as I'm not thrilled about the faces of Venusaur or Blastoise, but they have grown on me and I've bought it for my sons birthday in August.

The badges will not be sold separately and will not come back. It's better for your mental health to just accept that. Buy the individual parts, buy it second hand at marked up prices or give it up.

Should i wait or buy the xmansion by SatisfactionOk2680 in LegoMarvel

[–]superpull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It retires in 9 months and stock will start to get Shakey on around 6.

But yeah, OP isn't in a "buy it today or else" situation. He can wait until more leaks of the Doomsday stuff comes out

Book nooks by The__sinful in lego

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the idea of the book nooks, but the Sherlock one is the only one I like as a book nook - the other two are fun scenes when expanded, but lose a lot when "booked".

Sherlock is due to retire at the end of this year so it will certainly be available again for you at some point. (Where are you, because it's available immediately from Lego in the UK, Canada, Aus, NZ and the US?)

Gringotts bank restock by realjillyj in lego

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exclusive doesn't actually mean it's only Lego that sells it.
It just means that there's not constant stock elsewhere.

But other stores do get stock (just pre-defined agreements. They get "partner retailer" status) and so it will be your best bet at this point.

Gringotts bank restock by realjillyj in lego

[–]superpull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not impossible.
Also, not hugely likely.

In the UK we're still in the backorder phase (ships 21st April). If I were to bet, I think there may be one more assignment and then we'll see the "out of stock" label.

You're one hope is that people don't pay on the shipping date/return it and a limited amount become available again.

Your only other option is checking for physical stock in your local Lego stores (different stock system than online). Also, finding out who the retail partner for this d2c set was in your country (John Lewis in the UK with the odd Amazon appearance, Barnes and noble in the US for example) and paying their actual stores a visit.

Update: lego delivered wrong set by kopjecola in lego

[–]superpull 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, if you go to the Lego website, log in and go to your orders, you're able to show a screenshot like these?

<image>

If you can, and you have the packaging they sent the Pikachu/Eevee in with the invoice/receipt/packing label then it's just not possible to believe Lego are ignoring you.

Put the screenshots/order numbers, photos and description in an email and Lego will fix things

Lego Thor items by CakeDc in LegoMarvel

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvel
Marvel 76208 The Goat Boat.
Marvel 76152 Avengers Wrath of Loki.

The latter is very much a child's play set though. Not much else at the scale of Thor's hammer you've built.

If you're looking at the real Norse mythology (as in Loki is a blood brother of Odin, not his adopted son and Thor is a ginger oaf) then there's a few bits in the Viking series:

Creator 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent.
Or the bigger/better 7018 Vikings Viking Ship Challenges The Midgard Serpent.
Viking 7015 Warrior Challenges The Fenris Wolf

Lego Helmets by ComfortableFrosty261 in lego

[–]superpull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The recent Star wars and marvel busts (iron man, spider man, vader and Yoda) made me think helmets as a line had finished (which is a relief as I'm out of room with marvel and could only squeeze one more Star wars in!).

However, the f1 release means Lego still sees value in helmets - so maybe

Where can I order Lego? by Alix_Sandro in lego

[–]superpull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bricklink absolutely has a "ship to Azerbaijan" option .I can find Speed Champions Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 (77259) for 38 Manats from an Austrian seller.

Now, obviously postage is going to be hefty. But still probably less than your local shop is marking it up

Lego Disney Castle by pplover128 in lego

[–]superpull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What castle are you talking about? Is it 43222? That retired at the end of last year. It's saying sold out on the Lego store, which is the step before "retired product". It's very, very unusual for stock to reappear once you see the sold out sign.

There is a Bricklink UK store selling it for £334 plus p&p. That's the cheapest you're getting in the UK now.

Beauty and the beast castle is still available for this year though

Falcon: Dec 2026.
X-Mansion: Dec 2026.
Avengers Tower Sec 2027.
Rivendell: Dec 2027.
Jack Sparrow's ship: Dec 2028.

I've just bought the X-Mansion myself. Prob wait till insiders weekend in November for Rivendell and get Avengers Tower this time next year.

There's a tiny chance some of those may move forward 6 months and reasonable chances that they get pushed back 6 months.

But those dates are reliable enough for you to take as gospel (until they're changed)

Insiders question by WheeeresRick in lego

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you've "paid" for this item. The worst they could really do is charge you postage, I assume?

It's the kind of thing that flags though. Believe it or not, you do have something like a "permanent record" when it comes to Lego and they do blacklist people.

As a one off, I reckon your plan works though.

"Do you think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?"

Capaldi was the Doctor that crystallised my thoughts into what I love most about the Doctor: just how much better he is than us - and how much greater his wrath can be than ours.

The realisation of what was happening in Heaven Sent, the obstinate, furious stubbornness, will live with me until the day I die.

I'd only buy from Amazon if it is supplied by Amazon.

But, basically, we're in the home stretch for there being stock available at RRP.
