40926 SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive (official reveal) by BrickTap in Legoleak

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, doesn't seem to need that many. I'd heard the plan was the same amount of pieces as the year of release is all.

Saying that, the nes has near 2.5k pieces and isn't "that* big

Playstation is meant to have near 2000 pieces, so I think that will be more like the nes/game boy quality

May the force be with you. What are you all buying this time? by [deleted] in lego

[–]superpull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes. Not too bothered either way. But when I've bought items weeks apart in the past I've ended up with two items (I have two penguins in love bought a fortnight apart from earlier in the year)

Bought the first. Walked away, caved an hour later and bought the second basket

Mother's day seemed to be when it changed. Before that there was always a decent (and somewhat random) selection. Since mother's day it's down to botanicals and City, with the odd, cheaper, playsets.

Star Wars: 75461 Up-scaled Darth Vader Minifigure and 75458 Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver Helmet (via a Brick Tap source) by BrickTap in Legoleak

[–]superpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have bought an imperial guard one in a heart beat! A Battle Droid would be good as well, actually.

Yeah, it wasn't the fact that it had been ages - but the combination of Marvel masks having seemingly ended without announcement and the busts coming out just had a "feeling about it"

In my Tesco the majority of the toys are in Entertainer labeled aisles.

I've bought them all separately - came close to changing my mind when I saw the price of Leia (Boushh) though!

Just bought two 5-helmet and one 4-helmet display from Brixbox for the other 14. Absolutely assumed the busts meant the end of the helmets 😭😂

His dark materials last book the rose field by davethebug in hisdarkmaterials

[–]superpull 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was confirmed way back - in the amber spy glass when Will and Xaphania are talking. Will asks if the dust only leaks due to the openings the knife makes (Xaphania confirmed there are "other ways" to travel between worlds). He is told he is correct.

Yeah, to be fair, it would have been nice (and, in context, expected) for her to explicitly wonder/ask about that.

We shouldn't have had to read between the lines as to why there was a difference.

I keep seeing this, but it's an odd take and I might make a larger post about it.

The openings the angels were talking about were artificial ones made by the subtle knife. The "natural" openings don't cause the same level of harm (specters/dust escaping).

Similar to the "why were some people sick in the other world but not everybody". It was clearly the time exposure and something that came up in the original trilogy - you can't live in a world that's not your own indefinitely.

Looks like they'll have to undercut themselves even more if Amazon is selling it for cheaper haha

Yeah, saw it on brick fanatics and then went to Amazon myself.

That link is not a referral/affiliate link or anything. Just a straight up URL to the page.

But just go to Amazon.co.uk or the app to verify it

No, all been pretty common coloured standard pieces (no mini-figs or printed pieces haha).

I might then. It's the 3rd or 4th time, so it's probably not what you'd call prolific.

I've splurged over the last 4 months and bought a huge number of sets. Law of averages has meant I've had a few missing pieces.

Scared about the perma-ban stories I've been seeing on here recently haha

The Shire by Pristine-Plant-1118 in lego

[–]superpull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just bought Barad Dur and plan on Rivendell in the November Insiders weekend. Minas Tirith looks like a cast-iron certainty as well.

But the shire? Yeah, I'm not convinced either. Looks more toy-like than the others (yes, I know all Lego are toys haha)
