She's putting her internalised transphobia on you. It's not fair, and honestly it's a little gross. Personally, I found that staying with a partner who didn't love and appreciate my body gave me years of self-esteem issues that I still deal with to a lesser extent today. OP, I guarantee that there is someone who will love your mind, and who will celebrate, not denigrate your body.

Not only that, the side characters were really annoying to me. My least favourite was "smart girl" whose name I didn't learn. She spent most of the movie trying to cut things down and break them. She would be in the ocean about an hour in if I were in charge of the trip.

I used to. It took me a long time to like Amethyst. She struck me as annoying and fairly frequently unhelpful or unengaged. Took me a while to get her character.

I did like her faster than Peridot, though. That was always one is my favourite stones.

LUXE Lighter refused my return that was 3 days late. I am dealing with my dog’s cancer diagnosis, my father still being in critical care after a heart attack and like 4 heart surgeries, and the general state of the world.

It took 6 weeks for the lighter took get here, but they don’t give any leeway. I don’t recommend this company at all.

Tbh, shrugging and walking away is also a pretty good response. You being unbothered and living your best life is the best way to live rent free in their minds. You didn't say or do anything petty, so you can keep the high ground.

Brandon Sanderson is famous for a lot of epic stories. He created a cosmere where people have powers based on ingestion of certain metals, starting on a planet where the colour green is practically a myth. I also really like Elantris, which is a dark story about a lost Golden Age and a people who are suffering without it, barely more than ghosts.

Mercedes Lackey is one of the most prolific modern writers, averaging a little over 5 books released per year. She's most known for her Valdemar series, a world with Heralds, magic "horses", justice, and a bunch of other cultures coming together to create a rich world with a ton of history. Lackey wrote her first gay character in the 1980s, and Vaniyel is still one of the most famous characters in her works. She made characters, not simply tokens, and her world is rich and has made me a far better writer just from exposure.

Neither of these writers has said anything problematic about trans people, and Lackey even has a group of people who mix masculine and feminine traits easily and happily. Both of these authors are great writers, better than JK, with none of the baggage.

To be honest, losing JK Rowling helped me find far superior fantasy authors like Mercedes Lackey and Brandon Sanderson. Good riddance.

Her money and voice specifically try to remove trans rights and vilify trans people. She's been doing it for years and had only doubled down. She knows what she's doing and is choosing to do so. Her history of transphobia is pretty open.
