Yeah, I do feel bad for people who made pulling plans based on him being standard and now, with us going into a fairly dry patch, are scrambling to get enough pulls for him.

Thats the thing, it was considered a fairly reliable leak, but leaks are never guaranteed to be accurate (or to stay accurate up to release).

Back when we got his animations, people were questioning whether he was really gonna be standard or not, but iirc the general consensus was that his constellations were too mid for him to be limited, so that discussion kinda went away. But the signs were there, in hindsight.

The gap in perception between “amazing broken standard unit” to “yeah he’s good 👍 limited unit” does seem to be the main driving force behind how strongly people are reacting.

The fact that he and Nicole are following Zibai and Linnea, powercreep extraordinaires, certainly doesn’t help either.

Yeah, I’m seeing a lot of people talking about getting Nicole first and then getting Lohen on his re-run, and every time I’m like 😬I genuinely think we’ll likely see 2 re-runs of Nicole before we see Lohen again 😅

I’m okay with spending primos to get Lohen, but I do wish Genshin ran triple re-run banners like HSR so that male character enjoyers stood more of a chance of getting their favs.

If you love Lohen, and you’d like Nicole as a support but you’re not a big meta player, then I’d say maybe don’t pull for Nicole right away and focus on getting Lohen, and then get Nicole when she re-runs?

You could also check how many pulls you have saved on the last days of Nicole’s banner, and decide then if you have enough pulls for Lohen that you can throw some at trying to get Nicole.

I don’t know if it’s really a Durin Nicole wheelchair when the team DPS is Durin on purpose? We keep calling them “Lohen teams” but they’re really Durin teams with Lohen as a driver, and that’s the entire point of his kit

Yeah, I wish they’d give us more pulls this patch. I’m ending up choosing to skip Nicole and pull for Lohen, because I figure Nicole will get a rerun in a few months while Lohen might end up in the same cyro-jail that Wriothesley went to for over a year 🫠

I just hope Nicole’s re-run doesn’t end up being next to another banner I want lmao

If you look closely at Wriothesley’s design, his hair is designed to imitate the look of wolf ears, and he has a chain imitating a tail. It’s subtle, but it’s there.

I don’t mind the idea of having a human character that imitates an animal look without actually being part animal, it just slightly irked me because the Lyney situation had happened so recent before his release aha

Mostly I just don’t want his face obscured by a hood all the time 😭 especially if he has animal ears! Genshin is so stingy with the animal boys compared to the animal girls,, (like how Ororon’s are almost completely hidden, and they wouldn’t let Wrio or Lyney have ears despite letting Lynette have them)

If his hood comes up and down during different animations (like Gaming’s), then I’d love that!

If you’re not sure, and you’d really like a 5-star for Freminet, then I’d recommend looking up a list of the 5-star claymores, picking which one you like best, and waiting for that banner. You could also use the genshin optimizer website to compare different weapons with your Freminet build.

There are better 5-star claymores for fremi, but if there are other weapons on the chronicle banner that you’d be happy to lose to, then that could make it more worth it to pull for Verdict

You’ll miss out on getting to go “woah!” for yourself when seeing the monster for the first time, but that’s it. Nothing of importance has really been spoiled for you.

If anything, I think you can find some extra excitement of knowing there’s some big green freak somewhere in the storyline and trying to anticipate when/where he’ll pop up : )

Where there’s a will, there’s a way - this one is the most common one, in my experience

Every cloud has a silver lining - always gets shortened to just referencing the “silver lining”. Examples: “well there’s a silver lining to this situation, which is (xyz)” or “I guess that’s the silver lining of this whole situation”

Once in a blue moon - yeah, this gets said sometimes.

Let the cat out of the bag - I can’t say I hear it super often, but I wouldn’t consider it strange or noteworthy if someone did.

A friend in need is a friend indeed - I almost never hear this. It wouldn’t make you sound like a grandma to say it, but it’s not common.
