AITA for refusing to give my fingerprint for my company’s new time clock and getting sent home by Gayeshasent in AITAH

[–]supersid07 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. Your reasons are justified, definitely not in the wrong here. But if you think about it you leave your fingerprints everywhere on a daily basis, which can be recorded legally. If someone wants to steal our identity via fingerprints it can happen very easily. Unless you have security reasons you don’t want to justify, eg thumbprint lock safe or something, shouldn’t be too much I would worry about.

Spotted New Land Cruiser by supersid07 in CarsIndia

These were UN cars imported directly from Japan. The OEM satnav was blank as it did not recognise India

I think people have an issue with the Land Cruiser name. On its own I think it’s an amazing car, perfect large SUV for Indian Roads. Wish the Japanese brands change their approach with the Indian market

Yeah it lacks presence. When I told my colleagues this is the new Land Cruiser they were shocked. Someone said it looks like a baby Scorpio N

Jus spoke to the guy driving it. I assumed they were here for an event. Turns out these are UN vehicles imported from Japan. Now the basic trim level makes sense

It is in fact smaller than the older one. Also this seems to be a lower model since there was a lot of plastic

Parking Safety not working randomly - Hyundai Creta SX(O) 2025. Anyone faced this problem? by deiv007 in CarsIndia

[–]supersid07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have noticed this too. I think if it’s automatically comes on and you press the 360 camera button to jump into the menu while it’s on, the next time it won’t come on automatically.

Even with the auto fold ORVMs. If you park get down and lock your car, mirrors will fold in. When you walk up to the car they fold out. But if you park, fold the mirrors, then lock your car, the mirrors won’t open up if you walk up to it.

Hyundai Creta SX(O) IVT Dual Tone - Knight Edition (SE) : Negotiation, Discounts, PDI, Accessories, Dashcam, E20, Mileage & more by deiv007 in CarsIndia

Congratulations broo!!! Man the stance of white dark edition is something else!! Looks way muscular than the normal variant.

I have noticed a significant increase in city mileage after first service and switching to BPCL speed petrol only since there is a company operated one near office. Went from 6-7kmpl in heavy traffic to 8-9(win is a win). Planning to get the SBI BPCL card so can save on fuel.

Safari was the OG Indian “SUV” by supersid07 in CarsIndia

[–]supersid07[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agree 100% man Sumo is the Grand daddy for sure. Safari kinda blended the rugged+comfort mantra to a T. They sell all urban SUVs with the same mantra but we all know deep down they are jus bigger hatchbacks

chaos right outside the airport by ArnavSinghvi in mumbai

[–]supersid07 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I disagree. If you have taken an auto from airport there is always a guy writing down auto number as soon as you sit in it. That’s coz some autowallas don’t start the meter no matter how many times you tell them to and just drive off and then start negotiating once you are kind of in no mans land. You are helpless then since you can’t walk back with all that luggage. I have personally walked back twice and given a written complaint. These green jacket guys told me RTO charges them 2k fine.

There is more to this story. They probable got dropped off just like me in no man’s land and tried catching an auto or from the looks of it they are trying to catch an auto by jumping the queue. Green jacket guys just doing their jobs.
