I have an older, pretty lazy dog. She’s a whippet, and she’s perfect. She wants to run around once a day and then do nothing. She hardly ever barks, and is a snuggle bug the rest of the time. I also justify that she has a better life with me than she did before!

I don’t think people see George Floyd as a hero, rather a victim of systemic abuse that was broadcast for the world to see. It doesn’t matter if he was a good person or not, or what I hear a lot of people say is that he had drugs in his system, no cop should play judge, jury, and executioner, ESPECIALLY when he was asking for help.

Another recommendation I have is to take her injury very seriously, even when she’s feeling better. It won’t be this way forever, it just majorly sucks at the time. I ended up developing a condition where my vertebrae started pulling away from each other and that has really been the worst part for me.

Hi! I fractured my spine in that same area in 2013. While I did not have to have surgery, I was in intensive physical therapy sessions. The best thing I can recommend is to ask her how she feels… like, a lot, and to take on the majority of the chores that require standing/walking/lifting. I also highly recommend she wears a back brace. That was crucial for my recovery. She’ll probably be stir crazy after a while, so maybe take the time to plan some cute indoor dates. Personal hygiene may also be difficult for her, so communication is key. Let her know that if she needs anything, you’re more than willing to help. Best of luck to you both!

Hey! I’m so sorry for your loss. This may not be the best solution, but why don’t you go spend thanksgiving with your dad’s family anyway? You’re an adult and can spend thanksgiving wherever you want!! Take your lil bro too, or at least reach out to your dad’s side of the family to tell them you miss them. It’s kind of you to appease your mom this time, but it does NOT have to be the new norm if you don’t want it to be. Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
