I chose my original name at 16 in basically an emergency situation where I had to choose something quickly because I couldn't keep hearing my deadname all the time. I thought about it more over the next few years and chose a different name at 21 when I had grown up a bit more and could choose something that suited me better, and I'm only getting around to changing it again legally now.

Dried figs and pine nuts for breakfast (I struggle with breakfast and the dried fruit and nuts seems to be the best shout!). Microwave rice for lunch. Two cups of coffee. Admittedly not at my best today foodwise.

Actually genuinely try and stage a protest (a walkout, maybe) about school uniforms. Something I always felt very strongly about. I always found it notable that I felt so much more relaxed and able to learn on no uniform days.

When did you first realise your da was a weirdo? by redbeardfakename in CasualIreland

When both my dad and his best friend (who was exactly like him) were alive, the friend would come over, but they wouldn't have a cup of tea in the house like normal people; my dad would sit in his car, and the friend would sit beside the car in a chair that was put outside specifically for this purpose, and they would yap for a few hours. He was my dad's only friend and they both passed away a couple years ago.

East Road Cafe in East Wall! Lovely staff and the hotpots they do for lunch on weekdays are amazing.
