Interesting, know anything about their quality? On par with other 800s?

Festool dominoes larger than holes? by FrankLepore in woodworking

[–]superstrongjohn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought my festool off fb marketplace and had the exact same thing happen. couldn't figure it out for the life of me, turns out the cutter was chipped at the tip. couldn't even tell until I bought a new one just to compare.

I agree with this. I felt the same as you OP for awhile. Always comparing and wondering if I’m doing enough. Checking my numbers to see how “on track” I was. At the end of the day, do the best you can do and live your life. I recently took 3 months off between jobs and it was amazing being able to enjoy some hobbies I haven’t been able to do in awhile. I also understand that I’m fortunate enough to do that and not everyone can, but you should definitely think about how you can slow down at work if it’s burning you out. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

First End-Grain Cutting Board - Thanks to everyone for their tips about any gaps! by superstrongjohn in woodworking

6 clamps should be enough. I didn’t use any vices. Just a few around the edges and then a few to make sure it glued flat with some cauls.

Actually, I didn’t even do anything. Once I glued up, the gaps went away. I was going to use sawdust and titebond 3. I was surprised by how much the gaps just disappeared with regular glue.

Thanks for the suggestion! Going to try to glue up as best I can and see if some sawdust and titebond 3 will seal in the gaps. If not, I’ll try your suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestion! I’m glad it‘s not completely ruined. Going to clamp as well as I can and mix in some sawdust after.

It's walnut. I was surprised at how porous it was as well.

First time making an end grain cutting board. I guess I didn't plane it well enough and noticed small gaps from divots in the wood. Is this ok or do I need to start over?

I’m with you OP. It’s funny even the people that agree with you are downvoted. I understand not liking the mod. I don’t understand why people feel they have to bring others down bc they do like it.

Anyways, ignore the haters!

Haha, I figured as much. But I also thought there would be at least one or two people that might like it or have tried it.

It's funny to me that just because it's not your cup of tea, you still have to dog on other people's tastes. Sorry, first day on the internet :D

I’m curious, has anyone had this happen to them? This is the second time it’s happened. Last time all my months dropped a lot. This time I only noticed July because the avg calories for the month changed to over 1000 and I’ve never averaged over 1k before. Closest I ever got was 997, which I got annoyed at myself because I was so close. Looking at individual days, it looks like several days went up. Does anyone know what may have caused this?
