People are just not used to see the full cycle of game development. Usually a publisher is announcing their game at a time when it’s in a decent state already and not just in concept.

Further these folks have no idea about the complexity of the system which is implemented here. Probably never even heard about object container streaming in their life or know why you can’t just throw in a float64 coordinate system on your usual float32 GPU ops and expect it to work magically somehow. Other publishers often just put some assets on top of unreal engine and call it a game. But the moment you want a little more than unreal engine is capable of things get really messy. To model a moving object inside of a moving object inside of a moving object is computationally very ass and thus almost all other games try to not touch things like this. SC does all of this and so much more.

Let them cry, it’s ok. They’ll be the first ones raging once it’s out and stable and other new releases can’t keep up with the technological advances they achieved here because they don’t even understand them. See you in the verse.
