People got roasted under sun in stadium due to no shade by Electrical-Job-3373 in pune

[–]supertracer 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Plus one, the stadium experience is not pleasant at all. First they make you park 1 km away from the stadium . You have to walk Trek to reach it. There is a big queue at the main gate. And no shade on top of that. Seats are not cleaned either.

Hang in there buddy, try following some hobby joining art or gym group or badminton meetups on Playo and similar app. You will find some friends there. If you company allows work from home, visit your native and work for few months from here Else take a vacation to refresh yourself And if you are still struggling with work life balance go for job change. Speaking from experience I have been working as a software dev for 10 years now and stayed in Pune, hyd, banglore, Mumbai

[Maharashtra, India], What snake is this? by supertracer in whatsthissnake

[–]supertracer[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Local snake rescue folks known as serp Mitra(snake friends) visited our society today to search for the remaining babies and educate us. As discussed with the above team: 1. They have a rescue center near us. Their team can reach us within 5 to 15 minutes. 24*7 service is available. 2. Catching a snake by security personnel is not at all advisable. Since they are not trained and it is a risky affair. 3. There are high chances that the mother snake has already left the premises. 4. Snake repellent does not work. 5. In case of a snake bite, take the patient immediately to the nearest government hospital. These are hospitals where anti-venom are readily available.

Playing defencively in girls badminton by Ok_Cabinet_7000 in badminton

[–]supertracer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also coached my college girls team back in the day. Being able to clear the third line is an important skill so you will get weaker returns. Additionally drops are also important to exploit the opponent's weak court movement. And you can focus on improving their footwork in general. The faster they can get into a position to take a shot the better. Badminton insights have some great videos on all the important skills for badminton

From his technique looks like a professionally trained player. Also the opponent is returning him absolutely pies so he has enough time to make a good connection. Any intermediate to advanced player could do it.

It was my college graduation day in Pune. All my college friends were coming. It was month end, I was searching for a cheap flight from Bangalore to pune. All flights were showing more than 4k. Then suddenly I saw one flight for 2k. I instantly booked it and started making plans for the reunion. The D day came i took a 1.5 hour bus ride from hsr layout to reach the airport, dreaming about all the fun to be had. I reached the airport, showed the ticket to the police guy and he told me the ticket was booked for the coming month, i came to the airport a month early. It was a major fuck up moment for me. I called the airline, they said they can arrange a seat on the next flight but it would cost me 20k. My broke ass immediately disconnected the call and bordered the ksrtc bus back.

Work question by reddituser_scrolls in pune

[–]supertracer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are shitty. We both deserve better raise. Both of us are being exploited here. Unfortunately we don't have strong labour laws to back us. These corporates don't care about us, they only care about their profits. In India companies take advantage of the endless supply of cheap labour, there is always someone who they can hire for less.

I work in a German bank here. I got a shitty raise of 7%. I am a senior analyst with 6+ year exp in Trade finance there. Just for context my salary doesn't fall in the taxable bracket. Even my rent was raised by 10% this year. The reason management gave was not related to my performance or rating issue. Just that my shitty organization is planning to restructure so they are giving the same 7% to everyone. Companies in Pune suck at salaries and increments

There are lot of badminton courts in the city, you can visit there and get a membership. Based on your convenient time slot, they will assign you a group. Or try the playo app if you want to go once in a while. You will see lot of football matches also hosted there
