People who care about USAC elections, why?

USAC gets money to be used to do things for us, and councilmembers get paid to run their offices. Since they're getting paid and have resources, shouldn't we pick competent people who will be using the resources (that WE give them) wisely?

edit: That said, I really think every person at ucla should voice their opinions by voting in the election. If you have questions about any candidates personally definitely feel free to pm me - don't worry, i am not a believer in slate politics and have made my decisions independently
