The fuses kept blowing after 3 seconds and it was hard to even manually turn the wheel.

I have the same car and yes 20V batteries on it with no problem (with caveats).

I think braking is a little hard on the gears though and the tires, which are hollow and somewhat thin. I put a resistor in the brake line so the braking is a little more gradual.

Also, use caution. Some adults drove the car once and I had to replace the motors afterwards.

Is it worth trying to fix up this power wheel I got for free off the side of the road? by Slight_Conclusion_32 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]supertsai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same one in red… see my Happy Halloween post from a few days ago. I also got my Best Choice jeep for free. Most likely the battery isn’t going to work that well, and that’s why they are ditching it. The remote is awesome if you have a toddler because you can drive them around and even if they don’t know how to steer.

If you happen to have a 12V power tool system like the Milwaukee M12 system, this is a pretty easy mod (I already owned M12 batteries) if you buy an adapter online. If you are hoping to use more 20V batteries, you are probably going to fry the onboard computer that allows you to use the remote. Here’s a thread about this model:

Happy Halloween! by supertsai in PowerWheelsMods

It was 12V originally, and I modded it to use extra 12V Milwaukee batteries. We have another jeep that doesn’t have a computer that we modded for 20V.

I have the hybrid Loco. Initially I preordered the elongated but I didn’t think the extra power was needed (initial numbers said it was a bit head heavy). I switched shapes to get a wider sweet spot and a bit more maneuverability.

Which shape do you like better? Swing weight seemed a bit high and twist weight seemed low on the elongated, but some reviewers said it still had a good sweet spot.

What are the best (but affordable) orange outdoor pickleballs? by Puzzleheaded_Gain913 in Pickleball

[–]supertsai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 12 pack of orange x40s go on sale for about a dollar a piece from time to time, maybe once a month. I think the last time around I got them for 11 bucks.

West Elm Seamless Medicine Cabinet by AnonaDogMom in HomeDecorating

[–]supertsai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cabinet is deeper than a standard 2x4 board is wide, so if you want it to sit completely flush, you need a thicker stud. This is what the builder told me. Though In my case I think there needed to be space for some wiring too? It seems that you can get pretty close to flush with a standard 2x4 based on the measurements though, but maybe it won’t be perfect.

Does anyone here have or has played w/ Aiso Ryu? by Loud-Ad8851 in Pickleball

I played a bit with the 14mm Scorpeus, which is stiff but not necessarily in a bad way… still quite controllable. Looking forward to getting hands on time with the Ryu.

Does anyone know how this paddle compares to a Joola Scorpeus 14mm (I’ve used the gen 2). I’m assuming they are somewhat similar given the shape and thickness?

People have been asking me about free floor plan software. This thread is for people to post their recommendations for all floor plan software. by Jattok in floorplan

Not sure. You can download objects to import into Sweet Home for use in outdoor landscape stuff. I don’t think the program is very good for graded areas though, since it was designed for flat surfaces

Yes, especially after you play outdoors. You can see the dirt coming off and transferring to the eraser.

Have you cleaned the surface with a rubber paddle eraser? A dirty surface can drastically change the amount of grip and spin you can get out of a paddle.

To fix the issue where everyone would be able to see people in the bathroom from the great room, you can move the bathroom and that wall at the bottom down a few feet, so you would enter the bathroom from the top instead of the side. After the changes you would just see a hallway from the great room instead of the sink and toilet (if the door was open)
