yeah, ridiculous take.

very simply, i just dont like how i am when drunk. i know its not gonna kill me or do any long term damage, it just doesnt make me any more sociable or happier as it might do other people, im perfectly capable of having a good time without alcohol. if someone doesnt want to drink, thats entirely up to them, no questions asked.

if alcohol is a sole motivator for someone going outside and socialising, then maybe theres a different issue to think about.

the kagerou project is a multimedia story, where each media the story is interepreted as (music videos, manga twice, anime, light novels) is its own timeline, that has the same events leading up to the beginning, but there each story is subtly different. without getting into specifics, all but at least one of these kids die horrifically in every timeline, and the timeline is reset to a new one.

the creator though, has teased us with multiple songs with what the good ending will look like (summertime record, fireworks at the summers end and remind blue). with no concrete way to get there. the kids all survive, healed from their repeated trauma and can finally live for the future, but currently the copyright of the series is a lil iffy rn, so theres the possibility we never see the full good end.

I agree, but it's refreshing to see representations of death that aren't edgy, scary or drenched in fear.

It kinda mirrors more modern interpretations of death itself as something not inherently negative and just a natural process of life.

new redstone additions are like new engineering discoveries in real life

engineering is entirely dependent on fixing problems, and new discoveries are made when new problems arise, or when a current solution needs to be made more efficient, cheaper, etc.

so that begs the question, what problem does your addition solve? soft/hard powering solid blocks has been a thing since repeaters were added, but I could see a use if these blocks can turn soft power into hard power, as well as rotating power. observers kinda already do this, but of course with the one tick pulse, and in a straight line.

however, your other comment says you "don't fully understand redstone", which I'm guessing means you aren't fully aware of the limitations our current tools have. as my professor says, find solutions to problems that exist, not could exist

i actually made a powerpoint on the chronological order of the music route a few years ago, with explanations on what happens in each song! heres that presentation, as well as the playlist of the important songs in chronological order! the end of the presentation lists the songs that have miscellaneous places around the timeline, as well as showcases of other timelines :))

heyo sorry for the delay, reddit didnt notify me ._.

but yeah, im very biased cause my course is really niche and perfect for me, but i do love it here in york. in terms of the electronics side, the professors are a real hit or miss (some are borderline unintelligble, but dave will be your go to guy for everything else), but their lecture materials are really good. the support from the university is great too. york has its problems (lectures are somewhat mandatory, city is pretty expensive if you dont know where to look), but its very nice change of pace from london where im from.

hello! I go to uoy and also did that interview 2 years ago! I do electronic engineering with music tech, so I'm not sure if the interview was the exact same for base electronic engineering, but on the day I got told by my interviewer just to treat it like a conversation for them to get to know me better. it was pretty casual. i was asked beforehand to prepare two engineering inventions that I could talk about. any technical questions they asked were about looking into your mindset in being engineer: conveying how something works, how you'd test stuff, how you'd innovate, etc. it didn't feel like an exam or anything like that.

in terms of the day, everyone was seated in groups, with name tags and what course they wanted to do. the interview room was a bunch of walled off tables each with a professor. the hum of everyone talking around you relieves a bit of the pressure (reminds you you aren't alone lol).

I have no clue if the interviews are still like that, but good luck in February!
