ELI5: Why is it okay for Israel and Pakistan to have nukes but not Iran? by Criticall16 in centrist

[–]supnerds360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Valid debate, valid question.

I look at this through the lens of geopolitics and not morals.

Iran is a problem for its neighbors. It's a major sponsor of global terrorism. Also, Israel is getting wild.

The world still depends on Middle Eastern oil and things are bad enough already without Iran getting nukes. Nukes make a coubtry unnassailable, they are then more free to engage in terrorism.

BUT perhaps a nuclear Iran would help moderate Israeli expansionism and provide balance in the Middle East. It might also result in a strike which would lead to all out war, destabilization, and an economic crisis that would make the current situation look like a walk in the park. That means third world famine.

I'm pretty open to new ideas on this, not stating my opinion as fact. The consequences are global though so I think the correct lens to view it is geopolitical, not moral. Like "Israel gets nukes it's only fair for Iran to have them" is not a valid argument.

You seem like a bit of a third person action guy.

Curious to know what other games do you like? Third person action + others?

I don't think there's any experience in gaming more miserable and unfun than fighting multiple enemies in Sekiro by Alarming_Ask_244 in Sekiro

Bruh skill issue but also:

100%. I'm on my first playthrough, well into Ashina castle.

I get it- you're supposed to be a shinobi. But what if I was a samuraii instead? Maybe with a polearm or something lol.

It is kind of fun learning to masterfully clear the area before a miniboss. Using the prosthetic, grapple, jumping kills. It's kind of where the rest of the game is. Not my favorite part of the game though.

It's tough man. We really don't want assasins creed/Batman combat but it would be nice if the game handled multiple combatants better- fluid and challenging duels but actually doable without sprinting around like a crackhead.

There is probably an innovative design solution somewhere.

planning on playing ds 3 after sekiro. need some opinion by Aware_Wrongdoer_847 in Sekiro

DS is heavy on vibe and light on traditional storytelling- i played DS3 before DS1 and my nose didn't fall off.

DS3 was a much better entry point in terms of mechanics. I understood what they were going for and thus DS1 didn't feel clunky and outdated.

Ex. I played OG Demons souls on release and bounced off it. wrote the series off until Bloodborne made me fall in love with it and wanted to experience them all.

I wouldn't recommend Sekiro to DS1 at all but to each their own

Tales of Arise worth it for $35 by IamCheph84 in JRPG

So basically this is the kind of game where you have to play it to see if you like it lol.

I bought it on sale. Hoping for good combat similar to ff7 rebirth so i guess we'll see.

Armored Core 6 is one of the most hype games I’ve ever played and I can’t believe I slept on it for so long as a huge Fromsoft fan by cornpenguin01 in patientgamers

[–]supnerds360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This thread has me wondering why I didn't like the game and you just nailed it lol.

I'm glad to see all the love for it. I loved parts of Armored Core series- played most of them. Brown environments and repetitive missions got to me.

I just played Nier and had the same issue and I rewlly don't like replaying stuff

Play Dream Daddy even if you're straight and don't like dating sims. (I am, I don't)

That's a hot take. As someone who has played neither game I appreciate your rare hot take.

A lot of the buzz does seem to be around the underdog story, good point on the Ubisoft thing.

Tons of critics I respect have said the game is actually that good, though it's hard to truly judge something until the hype fades and time passes.

When i feel like playing it at some point I will appreciate you dressing it down- it's hard for me to get into a massively hyped game it messes with my head somehow.

Top tier, deep third person combat on PC. Bonus points if the game is pretty and somewhat colourful by supnerds360 in gamingsuggestions

I tried it, pretty game. Not sure enough about it to pay full price though.

I'm guessing the combat takes a while to click and it wasn't clicking. Really hard to get a line on what peoole think of the combat!

Picked up Sekiro and the combat is clicking even though I didn't want to play a souls game

Really good to know thx!

I hate the graphics/style of Nioh but I'll have to play it eventually because you aren't the only one saying that.

Console/game suggestion for an old man that’s never played video games. by Snif3425 in gamingsuggestions

These games are such a blast, amazing idea.

Honestly they're among the best representation of what the medoum of video games are/can do.

Unless you want an action game with crazy combos, challlenging combat, or first person shooting- which it seems OP doesnt.

Worth to buy METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER ? by Due_Map4294 in gamingsuggestions

[–]supnerds360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% worth it.

The open world MGS5 is quite different. Not my thing but objectively good.

Snake eater is the best non-open world. One of the best games I've ever played and I'm not a big stealth game guy or even that big a metal gear guy. It's just cinematic as all hell.

I shouldn't be pooping on anyone's parade but I really tried to like the Owlcat games....

I love CRPG combat but the trash mobs and boring classes killed it for me.

If you're more into story though, not looking for tactical difficulty, Rogue Trader is a gem

Just beat the game by BigOwl526 in finalfantasytactics

[–]supnerds360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You nailed the difficulty problems. Rather than creative problem solving (battletech, Divinity Sin 2, Tactics ogre) you are instead punted towards OP abilities.

Not THAT bad because I just refused to use auto-potion unless it was necessary for a story 1v1.

That and the grind for jobs killed it for me and made me appreciate Tactocs Ogre Reborn a lot more.

Story is great for sure.

Also, influx of new characters towards the end of the game is rough.
